West Ham manager Sam Allardyce feels new Financial Fair Play rules in the Barclays Premier League next season could "blow the whole deal" for signing Andy Carroll. The on-loan Liverpool striker netted his fourth goal in the last five appearances for the Irons in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Southampton.
West Ham United manager Sam Allarydce is undecided as to whether the club will sign Andy Carroll on a permanent basis in the summer, suggesting that the club will make a decision at the end of the season. David Sullivan, co-owner of the East London club, claimed late last week that an agreement had been made with Liverpool where the 24-year-old would make his stay at Upton Park a permanent one, although the club and player are yet to agree on personal terms.
West Ham United co-chairman David Gold insists that he is fully behind current Hammers boss Sam Allardyce.
Allardyce is out of contract at the end of the season and with Paolo Di Canio's exit from Swindon, speculation has been growing that that Gold and his partner David Sullivan want to bring in the Hammers icon in to replace Big Sam at the end of the season.
There are unconfirmed reports that West Ham have received a bid for the Senegalese international midfielder Mohamed Diame. There is no mention of which club it is, however, which is a bit of a wind up. The 25-year old has been linked in the press with Arsenal all month and Arsene Wenger and Sam Allardyce have both mentioned the transfer without confirming any official move.
Arsenal have been linked with the West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame throughout the transfer window, and the story is now becoming like a soap opera. His manager has spoken about it in press conferences and there have been reports of ultimatums from the club about a new contract and threats from the player about speaking to the FA about his release clause.
There may be a reason why we have heard nothing about a move by Arsenal to take the powerful Senegalese midfielder Mohamed Diame from West Ham. The 25-year old player suspects that his current club are not playing ball and respecting the terms of his release clause. Diame is aware of interest from a number of clubs, but feels that officials at the Hammers are doing everything in their power to put off other clubs and buy time until the transfer window closes.
Many Arsenal fans were dismayed to hear that Arsene Wenger seems happy to allow QPR boss free reign to sign Yann M'vila from Rennes. The French international has long been linked with a move to the Emirates, and is now apparently available at a cut price £8 million. Wenger has obviously cooled his interest in the player, however, and the money is not really a factor.
While I am not a big fan West Ham boss Sam Allardyce and bis style of play, I can acknowledge that he does know how to keep teams in the top half of the Premier League. His sides will rarely challenge for a European place, but they finish mid table year after year, which is an accomplishment in itself.
It seems that Arsenal are gearing up for the beginning of the transfer window on January 1st, and the first player to be shown the door is expected to be the Morrocan striker Marouane Chamakh, after the Telegraph revealed that "Sam Allardyce met with Chamakh's agent Pierre Frelot on Friday night and expects the green light from Arsenal,"
Wenger has already clearly hinted he would allow the Morrocan to leave last month when he was discussing the arrival of Thierry Henry, when he said: ".
If Arsenal can persuade West Ham to go for this deal, it will confirm that Arsene Wenger, as Alex Ferguson suggested in the summer, would make an excellent poker player. West Ham are keen to boost their striking options and are thinking about a loan move for the Arsenal outcast Marouane Chamakh. Arsene Wenger has had to accept that Abou Diaby may never be able to play many games for the Gunners and Mohamed Diame is reported to be one of the dynamic midfielders that may be brought to the the Emirates in January.
This is a result that makes us all much happier. In a game that we were in control of, we went down after an unusual moment of brilliance from one of the opposition players. We followed this up with some determination and persistence, and we were eventually rewarded with three valuable points that leaves us sitting fifth on the table (until tonight at least).
There have been many factors to the improvement in Arsenal this season. The defenders, both individually and collectively are more organised, focused and sharper. Arteta has taken to his new role like a duck to water and Diaby has been fantastic. Ramsey, despite the odd mistake, is playing himself back into good form and confidence.
Sam Allardyce has proved to be a thorn in the side of Arsenal before. Big Sam produces teams that get stuck in and try to rattle their opponents, and in the past this has gained him some success against Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. Add to that the fact that Andy Carroll could be back in the starting line up and you have the recipe for a tough game.

Messrs. Gold and Sullivan have stumbled from bad decision to ludicrous decision since taking
over at West Ham but they may well have struck gold with the appointment of Big Sam. The quickest
form of transport is through the sky and that's why Allardyce's long ball football could provide
the Hammers with an instant return to the topflight.
There was just one Premiership game being played on Sunday as Roberto Matteo's West Bromwich

LONDON, England — Heavy snow and freezing temperatures wreaked havoc with the Premier League on

It's taken the best part of two years, but Blackburn have finally gotten round to formally apologising to former Rovers boss Sam Allardyce on behalf of fellow former manager Steve Kean, who was caught on tape in a Hong Kong bar a year ago, lightly boozed and gabbing with a group of fans telling them that the club had sacked Allardyce for being 'a crook'.

So, news sources yesterday confirmed that Steve Kean has been put in charge at Blackburn
until June 2011.
The new owners (Above) haven't hidden how impressed they are with Kean's attitude and ambition
but it seems that the VH group's slight lack of knowledge of the game (chairwoman, Anuradha Desai
admitted "I don't know a thing about football" when first taking over at the Lancashire club) may
prove to be their downfall on the latest decision.
BLACKBURN, England Steve Kean is on his way back from India having had a summit with Blackburn's

There have been reports this week the Arsenal are looking to add the all action 25-year old midfielder Mohamed Diame to the Gunners squad this January, but his manager at West Ham thinks he should turn down the move. Sam Allardyce declared that Diame would not get a game at Arsenal so there would be no point in joining, which made me wonder why he was even bothering to say that if, as he claims, West Ham have had no contact with Arsene Wenger or his staff.
Since signing from Palermo for a shade under £19 million back in 2008, it's fair to say that
Amauri has contributed the square root of f**k all to the Juventus cause. Barring a fairly decent
goal-to-game ratio in debut season, he's been in Layman's Terms dire and, as such, has been
informed by Juve that he is 'free from any obligation vis-a-vis the club commencing from January
2012′ and 'no longer included in the new technical programme'.
