David Moyes side eased past La Liga side Malaga after going two up early on the first coming from Louis Saha after a goalmouth scramble and the second after good ground work from Stephen Pienaar. The Spainish pulled a goal back with a splendid 35 yard free-kick.

Howard shines in Everton defeat of MLS All-Stars

It took a monstrous performance from American keeper Tim Howard as Everton FC outlasted the MLS All-Stars Wednesday to win 4-3 on penalty kicks after the match ended in a 1-1 draw. So good he has to console Freddie Ljungberg after stopping the Swede's feeble PK attempt.
It was the third save in the shootout for Tim Howard (aka The Boss), who also had six saves in regulation in an MVP-winning performance.

The MLS All Stars loss to a foreign opponent for the first time tonight in Salt Lake as Everton defeated in penalty kicks. After Everton took the lead through Louis Saha, Brad Davis tied the game for All Stars. The second half stayed 1-1 and went into PKs.
