In a press conference at the Philadelphia Union's PPL Park on Wednesday, Major League Soccer announced the MLS All-Stars will play Chelsea on July 25th (8:30pm ET - ESPN2). Philadelphia manager Peter Nowak will coach the All-Stars. "We are excited to have the chance of a re-match against the MLS All-Stars and are in no doubt it will provide a competitive fixture as we build towards the 2012/13 season, having lost narrowly in the match.

MLS announced on Wednesday morning that the MLS All-Stars will face Chelsea at PPL Park on Wednesday, July 25 at 8:30pm.

Philadelphia Union season ticket holders will have access to an exclusive pre-sale starting today at 2pm.

Union coach Peter Nowak will skipper the MLS team against Chelsea.

Peter Nowak had success as an MLS All-Star manager against Chelsea in 2006, and he'll get the opportunity to repeat that feat this summer.

Nowak will coach the MLS All-Stars against Chelsea at PPL Park on July 25, the league announced on Wednesday, marking the second consecutive season that the host city's coach will have the honors of leading the MLS side during the mid-summer classic.

The Union issued a press release on Tuesday in which they said team and league officials will be holding a press conference today at 11:30 to discuss "the competitive aspects of the 2012 AT&T MLS All-Star Game," which seems like a fancy way of saying the All-Star Game opponent will be announced.

Chelsea have announced two dates for their pre-season tour of the U.S. this summer. They will play Seattle Sounders in Seattle on Wednesday 18 July. A second game, against AC Milan at FedEx Field has also been announced for July 28th

Chelsea last played in Seattle in 2009, when they set an attendance record of 69,000 to see them play the Sounders.

In a Major League Soccer press conference yesterday morning in Philadelphia, it was announced that the AT&T 2012 All-Star game has been awarded to the Philadelphia Union.
