We aren't even done with the SuperDraft this week and already some rumors are flying around
about this year's MLS All-Star game. No word yet on who the club MLS will be playing, but one has
to figure it won't be a three-peat of Manchester United.
No, the talk today is all about the location of the game.
Over the last couple of years, MLS has made a long string of significant decisions aimed at
advancing the league and improving the quality of soccer on the field. These have included the
Designated Player rule in all of its iterations, the Generation Adidas program and recently, the
mandating of team specific academies tasked with developing young players and retaining young
talent in the league.

Don't act surprised. You knew this was probably coming. The summer of soccer kicks off once
again as Major League Soccer will be hosting foreign-based clubs in the World Football
Challenge.
So far only two games are listed.

Last year in the playoffs, the Memphis Grizzlies shocked the world when they defeated the San
Antonio Spurs in the first round. The Grizzlies were the eighth seed and the Spurs were the first
seed. It was only the fourth time in NBA history that an eighth seed had beaten a first seed.
But so far this season, the Spurs have been able to get their revenge.

The events during All-Star Saturday weren't very exciting. Surprisingly, the most exciting event
might have been the Skills Challenge. The Skills Challenge had a ton of talent and there was good
effort by each participate.
The players in the Skills Challenge were Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rajon Rondo of
the Boston Celtics, John Wall of the Washington Wizards, Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City
Thunder, Deron Williams of the New Jersey Nets and Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs.
First off let me make this clear. My posting of these videos is not a protest against the
restrictions placed today on the Houston Dynamo supporters groups. It is not an attempt to absolve
certain individuals at recent Dynamo matches for their behavior. Objects CAN NOT be thrown on the
pitch under any circumstances, it's dangerous to other fans, to stadium staff and players.
Believe it or not, there was a time when Kevin Alston was in the national team pool. Let that
sink in for a moment. It wasn't even that long ago when he was called into Camp Cupcake in 2009
under Bob Bradley. Granted, he pulled out of the camp with a hamstring injury, but his game was
reputable enough that he earned a shot.
Grant Hill is the oldest player in the NBA at age 39. Unfortunately for him, it sounds like his
age has caught up to him after reports surfaced that the Phoenix Suns small forward needs knee
surgery due to a meniscus tear. At the very least, Hill will be out a few weeks.
It's possible that Hill could return in the middle of April.
Many Americans continue to wonder about Snooki's weight (98 pounds!) who's going to be eliminated
next from "The Voice" or what twists and turns will happen next in "Game of Throne"/"Madmen".
The computers, well, are preparing to take over the world. The upcoming Major League Soccer

will be available instantly for analysis.
Just a day after announcing that Chelsea would be facing the MLS All-Stars in this summer's MLS

How do you play starting swingman/small forward on the best team in the NBA and not get more
consideration for Rookie of the Year? The vote for this year's ROY proves it's just a political
exercise to try and make stars.
Two point guards were ahead of Kawhi Leonard, Ricky Rubio of Minnesota got second place and Kyrie
Irving of Cleveland won the award.
