Just because there's a big break in MLS action, doesn't mean the Seattle Sounders are getting
much time off. The same goes for us, as we recap last week's win over the Atlanta Silverbacks and
preview this week's game against Cal FC in U.S. Open Cup action.
In addition to our guest Nick Webster (@nickwebster), basically the assistant coach for Cal FC
(@cal_fc), we also welcome a special co-host, Matt Gaschk (@mattgaschk) of SoundersFC.
Losing in the last minute of any game is hard. Losing a U.S. Open Cup 2nd round match in the
last minute after equalizing seconds earlier is devastating. The Fire PDL controlled last night's
U.S. Open Cup game against the Dayton Dutch Lions completely only to be undone by some lax
defending on a corner as overtime loomed.
We are just a day away from the Champions League final and once again I have decided to take a look
at the opposition to try and discover their weakness. I have done this previously on two occasions,
The FA Cup Semi Final against Spurs and against Barcelona and I am proud to say the weaknesses I
identified were spot on!
I have been blogging all day about The Bayern View and comments from different people made shortly
after the defeat in the German Cup at the weekend. It was a shocking result from their point of
view and being a big game, most of their players disappointed.
So, if you haven't seen the goals here they are!
"It is not normal to sell an image of perfection, because at the end of the day nobody is
perfect." - José. May 6, 2012.
You won't know why I said it. Lots of people think they know me - that they have the measure of
me. None of them do, they say it is something in my character, the impulse that drives me - then
two weeks later it will be that I'm such a devious planner and that it's all mind games.
Juventus won the scudetto this past weekend, and deservedly so as they were the best team in the
peninsula this year. Sometimes, that's just how it works. In celebration, they're hoisting all
sorts of glittered beacons of success, including the scudetto tally for their brand new
stadium.

Real Madrid Vs. Bayern Munich: Catch Up On Day's Action - SBNation.com
SPOILER ALERT: For the first time in UEFA Champions League history, the final will be hosted be
played at the home of the one of the participants as Bayern Munich outlasted Real Madrid in a
penalty shootout. It was another spectacular match with all sorts of ups and downs.
I'm not one to attempt to spoil the fun lord knows there's all sorts of that to be had from now
until the final on 19 May. But I felt like I had to post this. Reasoning after the jump:
This makes for heartbreaking viewing. I mean, I nearly teared up.
But by posting the video, I thought this thread could somewhat serve as a way to honor Bane for
the contribution he's given this club not just on Tuesday, not just this season, but throughout his
career.

I have woken up with such a strange feeling this morning and I haven't felt like this before a game
in a long, long time. In around 12 hours from now, the Champions League semi final second leg kicks
off at Nou Camp and Chelsea are 90 minutes away from our second final. That's how it stands at the
moment anyway.
Its saddens me when I hear about all the abuse Ramsey has been receiving. Fans are the first
ones to complain when a player hints at a move, they criticize and call him all sorts of names e.g
Na$ri.
If you want loyal players "ARSENAL FANS" then should you also be loyal to them. Imagine if
Ramsey had a contract until 2014, Wenger continues to show the faith he has shown in him next
season.
Right up until around 1730 tonight (UK TIME) there will be all sorts of permutations about just who
Roberto Di Matteo will select to start for Chelsea tonight against Spurs at Wembley with Wednesday
against Barcelona in mind.
I personally think that Chelsea should take both games with the same level of importance and field
the strongest possible line ups.

I have been conspicuous by my absence on here of late so I thought it was time I pulled my
finger out and tried to contribute something. In keeping with my normal modus operandi here's five
random points of interest from the game for you to mull over.
1. Winning games can overcome all sorts of concerns and doubts about a team.
Good evening. Since our season ended there has been all sorts of speculation about Jim Magilton's
future. Initially it looked as though the board were set to offer him a permanent contract but
over the weekend rumours began to surface that he was on his way out. Well, lo and behold, thats
exactly what has happened today.
When AVB took over in the summer and revealed that he has been asked to take the club forward for
the next three years it was clear that a complete revamp of our squad was needed. With that, it was
to be expected that the press would have a field day linking the club with plenty of names and
future signings along with continued stories of players leaving the club.
3rd place has never looked so good, has it? A win at Goodison Park last night continued an
excellent recent run of form to move Arsenal above Spurs for the first time this season.
Although there were many chances for Arsenal, this will go down as a hard-fought, scrappy 1-0
away victory, with a defender, Thomas Vermaelen, the main hero, scoring the winner early on from a
corner and defending like a hero throughout.
Today's referee is Mark Halsey A review that has take a while because of all sorts of reasons
but still an interesting one and more data that somehow confirms things we have published in the
last days.

The Premier League chairman and FA vice chairman, Sir Dave Richards made a thorough ass of
himself at a recent symposium on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. His is a very Eurocentric view and on
top of that it's a subset (England and Germany) he uses to make his point. As if these are the only
two countries that matter.
I maybe far away but we have a great chance to beat this lot tonight. They are slow at the back,
weak on the air, their midfield doesn't track back well enough answer tonight we can cause them all
sorts of problems.
For us to win tonight Mikel must play the holding role and Mata in behind the forward.
Everyone who desires to study about vaporizers really should take a look at some top quality
vaporizer reviews via a site. One can find a large number of sorts of critiques that deal with
quite a few kinds of vaporizers. These testimonials must be regarded carefully since they can
contain lots of parts of facts on how these beneficial products can function.
Traditional arcade video games permitted to remain team entertained from many years. Nowadays,
they stay although many of the largest proportion typical video games on the market, in spite of
this smattering personnel experience monitors in course of an arcade or perhaps the bit of
equipment in course of sing out the games which they love.
Have you at any time listened to of pressure canner? Canning is definitely an age previous
tradition and in case you stroll into any cooking appliance shop you are certain to determine all
sorts of canners. Many of the most well-known canners are called drinking water bath canners, steam
canners as well as pressure canners.
Essentially, self storage is really a business that is the owner and the operator of a facility,
that's additional, subdivided into self storage units. These are generally areas which are rented
out to individuals who have to have them, mostly on per month basis. Those people renting a device
can retailer anything from golfing equipments to a car in it.
Chelsea v Stoke City Preview: Easy win cannot hide Chelsea's problems - originally posted on

Chelsea are 1.4 to beat Stoke and everything suggests they are worthy odds-on shots.
"Listen, I'm my own man. If I have something I want to say or do then I will do it. The reason I
wore the T-shirt is because I know 100 per cent Luis Suarez is not racist. He is one of the lads in
the team that I get on with best of all at the club."
This is not a topic anyone wants to revisit.
I remember when I was about 15 or so we had a student art teacher and for whatever reason my
work got quite... experimental. I was no artist really but I wasn't terrible, and with a bit of
luck and a following wind some of my stuff felt alright. Anyway, this particular year I started
incorporating bananas and mountains and kettles and fish and all sorts really, all into the same
pictures.
I have been reading various comments and articles in the press and the media ever since AVB was
sacked on Sunday by Roman Abramovich. As per usual with our club and the job, when it's up for
grabs we are reading all sorts of names being linked with the club.
What has made me laugh is these out of work managers who have "put themselves forward" for the
vacancy in the last two days with the hope that Roman employes them.

Didn't get this posted last night, but there's a new From the Byline to the Back Post for you. This
week Thad and I discuss the USA, the sanctions for the Houston Dynamo supporters, all sorts of
preseason news, the 2000 MLS Cup trophy, the Comets, and former Wizards. Enjoy on Posterous or
iTunes.
The story gets fishier by the day. How did Ryan Braun manage to get out of his suspension for
elevated levels of testosterone, better known as steroids or juicing?
The person who managed Braun's drug test has come out with their side of the story and it's
compelling stuff.
Plans for Liverpool to once again don white suits for a trip to Wembley have been shelved after an
intervention by star striker Luis Suarez. The Reds famously wore white Emporio Armani suits for
their last trip to Wembley in 1996, and were planning to recreate the look for tomorrow's Carling
Cup final clash with [.
Larry Lloyd's Hard Man: Hard Game is one of the best accounts of Forest's golden years
that I have read. I think Lloyd benefits hugely from having a female ghost writer. At the risk of
being sexist, it just allows one of the hardest men I have ever met to admit to all sorts of things
that I am not sure he would if he'd have played it safe and used a male sports journalist to help
him write the book [.
Well this is it tonight for Chelsea it really is!. You know that saying "there's a time and a
place"? Well it's tonight at 1945GMT and the place is Naples, Italy.
Chelsea need a big, big performance tonight from the players AND the manager. Everyone is waiting
for Chelsea to fail, the press are ready to run more stories of doom and gloom and you can imagine
the negative headlines that have already been drafted to run in the morning.
Simple question but with a difficult answer as Chelsea simply cannot afford to have the same result
as Arsenal did last week in Italy.
We're down in the dumps, struggling for form and taking flack from everywhere as AVB continues to
struggle with our players. Like I said yesterday,
it's as much the players fault as it is
AVB and I am glad people are finally seeing that too.
Emmanuel Adebayor was forced to call on Emmanuel Frimpong to help him out in an ongoing row with
Arsenal fans on Twitter last night.
Adebayor was tweeting all sorts of nonsense but took a fair amount of stick from Gooners and
eventually made the pleae to Frimpers to get the supporters off his back.
Carlos Tevez is on his way back to Manchester where he is expected to make up with Roberto
Mancini and be included back in the City squad. I think it is a sign of how worried that City are
that they will not win the league that they are willing to forgive and forget Tevez's actions.
And as a reminder of the kind of person he is, Tevez gave a farewell interview in Argentina with
Fox Sports in which he made some incredible statements about the club, fans and manager.
