World wide world cup match days are the next best thing to the actual world cup, particularly when
we are in the last throes of the schedule. It's like a 1st round March madness day, but twice as

are starting to feel a little too uncomfortable.

Rafik Saidi's 59th minute winner in Algiers this past weekend looks to have ended Zambia's hopes
for South Africa. Rwanda must beat Algeria and Zambia must beat Egypt for Zambia to have any
chance. The Phoraohs will be praying for Rwanda too.
Algerians can get busy securing their various vantage points for the tournament.
The latest FIFA World Rankings were released on Wednesday September 2, 2009 with not many
changes. Brazil remains on top but Spain has closed the gap to less than 20 points. The rest of the
top ten remains about the same with Italy moving up one spot to be tied with Germany for 4th and
France slipped to 10th while Croatia moved up one to 9th.
