AEK drew their first of two friendlies this weekend 2-2. AEK played wusing the 4-4-2 formation. The
goals for AEK were scored by RAFIK DJEBOUR!! in the 5th minute and Pantelis Kafes in the 30th
minute. Augustin Pelletieri, according to some newspaper reports, still needs a bit of time to
adjust to the new formation.
We all know the big-name superstars that will grace the stage at Ghana 2008, familiar names like
Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and Samuel Eto'o.
But who are the well-known athletes that won't be in Ghana starting this Sunday?

Trinidad & Tobago 1 - 2 Bermuda: The Revs' Khano Smith started and went the full 90 minutes for
Bermuda, tallying an assist on John Barry Nusum's first goal with a nice cross. Trinidad & Tobago
were heavy favorites in the match, especially since they were playing at home.
USA 8 - 0 Barbados: Matt Reis was on the bench, but saw no time after his surprise call-up due to
Tim Howard's injury.

Much of the world played World Cup qualifying last night.
Others played friendlies in preparation for the 2010 World Cup.
Africa was no exception as the continent prepares itself for the much-anticipated 2008 Beijing
Olympics and the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
First up, African champions Egypt were beaten 2-0 by the world's top ranked side, Argentina.
Abdoulie "Kenny" Mansally got his second appearance for the Gambian National Team today
in a 1-0 loss to Algeria today, coming off the bench in the 87th minute. Mansally made his debut
off the bench over the weekend.
Gambia now sit 3rd in Group 6 of World Cup Qualifying from Africa. Gambia must finish at least
second to have a chance of advancing to the next round.
Shalrie Joseph (Grenada) and Khano Smith (Bermuda) have been called up for their countries' World
Cup Qualifiers this weekend. The two join Kenny Mansally (The Gambia), who has already missed the
past two Revolution matches, on the absence list for this Thursday's match in Houston, and likely
the following two matches as well.
We first reported on this signing four days ago, only to see it derailed supposedly by excessive
wage demands by the player. Well, now it's official. The French born attacker, who
plays for Algeria's national team, is quick, with a deadly instinct. He'll bolster our attack
and plug right into Donis's preferred 4-3-3.
