Born July 4th, 1926, in Buenos Aires, Alfredo di Stefano began his football career with River Plate at the age of 17 and won 6 trophies in his first 12 years playing in Argentina and later Columbia. A phenomenal striker, he struck a fierce partnership with fellow legend, Hungarian Ferenc Puskas with Real Madrid from 1953-1964.
