What's the old sports adage? Don't ever let the other team score right before halftime?
Senior forward Kelly Menachof and freshman Erin Bricker scored as the University of Colorado
beat Northern Colorado 2-1 in an exhibition on Sunday in Boulder.
In the third minute of play, CU sophomore Caroline Danneberg sent a perfect cross to Menachof,
who took one touch then buried her shot in the lower left corner of the goal.

Saturday's exhibition between the University of Denver men's soccer team and Stanford has been
moved to the Colorado Rapids' practice field at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. The
game time has been changed to 4:30 p.m., and admission will be free. Denver opens the regular
season at the Duke Classic in Durham, N.
GREELEY — It took a 2-0 UNC lead to wake Creighton's sleeping giant; but by that time, it was
too late. Brittani Knott and Danielle Birdsall scored second-half goals as the University of
Northern Colorado held off a late charge by the Bluejays in a 2-1 victory on Sunday afternoon at
Jackson Stadium.
