FC Barcelona took a good step towards proceeding to Copa Del Rey final with a 1-1 draw at
Mestella. Considering how tough we have found recently in Valencia, this draw is as good as a win -
especially because of the away goal. In the 27th minute Jonas put Valencia ahead, but Carles Puyol
equalised for Barca in the 36th minute.
It was a depleted Barcelona side that turned up in Valencia tonight, but it was also a team that
does't give and they got a credible 1-1 draw in their Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg. Barca will
be heavy favorites now to finish this tie off at the Camp Now.
Barca were given an early scare when Roberto Soldado raced onto a through ball, but Pinto came
racing out of his goal to slide in and clear the danger, appearing to use his hand as he did so,
only for play to be waved on.
Barcelona's shocking away form resulted in another loss last night, and with it any chance that
Barca has of retaining their La Liga title this season.
Barcelona have now dropped a staggering 16 points away from him in the league this season. As
incredible number. And a number that will cost Barca a chance to retain its La Liga crown.

FC Barcelona has virtually assured themselves off a Quarter Final birth in this Season's
Champions League competition with a 3-1 away victory against Bayern Leverkusen. This is the first
time Guardiola has managed to win an away leg of the last 16 knock out stage in Champions League.

Barcelona's march to a potential third UEFA Champions League title in four years is in full
effect after a 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.
The Catalan giants have all but conceded the La Liga crown to Real Madrid but are in good
position in the Champions League after the first leg of the Round of 16.
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE action was back after a break with Spanish representative FC BARCELONA travelling
to BAYERN LEVERKUSEN for the 1º leg last 16 teams match. The final result was a 1 - 3 victory for
Barcelona which "virtually" puts them into the quarter-final with the exception of a surprise
result (possible) at "Camp Nou" in the 2º leg return match in two weeks.
A double from Alexis Sanchez and a goal from Lionel Messi gave Barcelona a 3-1 win over Bayer
Leverkusen in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League tie at the BayArena. Still smarting from
