has opinions about opinions! When we caught up with the former Men's National Team player and
current Fox Soccer deskman he had just finished recording his podcast, "Sent Off", with fellow Fox

Adu had some moments. The U.S. Men's National Team opened up 2012 with some very interesting talking
points. Certain call ups, certain omissions, scrimmages and of course the obvious questions that
accompany such things. First up would be the scrimmage between the full team and the Under
23's.
The senior squad paid a lesson to the U23 Olympic team with a 4-0 dismantling of their younger
brothers.
Of late, there have been many talking points regarding United States Soccer. The senior team has
turned in three straight wins, but they've been largely inconsistent in each of these past
performances. Prior to those three matches, Jurgen Klinsmann's teams have been hard to describe.
We've yet to see a distinctive style out of the senior team and that might prove worrisome.

The New York Red Bull's Thierry Henry came on as a second half substitute to a rapturous
reception from the Arsenal fans, and then in pure Hollywood style, scored the winner against Leeds
United tonight.
It took Henry less than 10 minutes to show the ineffective Marouane Chamakh how it is done as he
took one touch to control Alex Song's clever pass in his favourite inside left position and, before
the Leeds defenders could react, he had planted the ball beyond keeper Andy Lonergan and into the
far corner.
Chicago Fire Rumor Mill: Wilman Conde to New York Red Bulls?
Alexi Lalas is hearing a deal is in the works to bring Wilman Conde to the New York Red Bulls.
The Chicago Fire hold his MLS rights so New York would have to trade something to Chicago before
being allowed to sign him. What would you ask for?

When word broke about a United States-Mexico legends game last week, there remained some
speculation about just which players from the storied rivalry would be participating for both
sides.
The final rosters are out, and some of the more prolific heroes and villains from the last two
decades of CONCACAF's ongoing feud will be on hand for the unique event.
Familiar faces. Familiar result.
An older generation of U.S. men's national team players defeated Mexican rivals of years past,
2-0, in the Legends Game played at the Home Depot Center on Sunday night. Roy Lassiter and Brian
McBride scored in the 70-minute match and goalkeeper Ian Feuer came up with several saves to give
the Americans their latest dos-a-cero victory.

The MLS SuperDraft was held on Thursday and broadcast live on ESPN2. After two hours of
televised coverage, the feed switched to ESPN3.com. Adrian Healey manned the desk while Alexi Lalas
and Taylor Twellman handled much of the commentary heavy lifting and despite some hiccups, the
broadcast was generally well done.
The United States National Team was in Genoa, Italy on Wednesday to take on the Azurri in an
international friendly. I thought I would use the opportunity to offer a business blog of the match
and its telecast on ESPN2. The broadcast started with some background on the city of Genoa and
the match courtesy of Ian Darke.
If you have 47 minutes to kill and you want to know how David Beckham single handedly
transformed MLS from deadbeat to drumbeat. No I kid. Actually, Beckham's legacy is mixed. He did
not quite match Alexi Lalas's hyperbole of saviour of football. But he isn't also quite the write
off.
Americans didn't abandon their sporting interests in droves to take to an imported sport because
of Beckham other than an initial spike out of curiosity.
Joking aside, I link to this Grant Wahl SI podcast with the ABC commentator specifically to give my
full endorsement to every last thing he says from the question halfway through on, about criticisms
hurled at the US Under-23 team and the fed that, yes, failed at Olympic qualifying. Alexi Lalas is
absolutely right, with every point offered.

Fans of the United States and Mexico were unable to see the two arch-rivals face off this year
during Olympic Qualifying, but thanks to a blast from the past, they'll get their fix.
The Legends Classic, a match featuring several of the greatest players to play for the US and
Mexico is scheduled to take place at the Home Depot Center on April 15th at 9pm EDT.

the league title. 13 goals for Jozy this season in league play, and 17 overall.

The United States National Team squared off against Brazil on Wednesday night and the match was
televised on ESPN2. The game broadcast featured Ian Darke and Taylor Twellman, ESPN's primary
international team. The pairing of Darke and Twellman makes for an interesting contrast with
NBC's primary broadcast team of Arlo White and Kyle Martino.
