Not that it came as much of a surprise, but Chelsea confirmed on Friday that they would not be pursuingthe option to sign Radamel Falcao after the Colombian striker's loan at Stamford Bridge expired.

Falcao spent the whole of last season with the Blues but his impact was limited to 12 appearances (10 in the Premier League), amassing a paltry228 minutes on the pitch and scoring just one goal in that time.

Alexandre Pato was wasted at Chelsea in my opinion and the player himself has spoken out over the lack of first team involvement under Guus Hiddink. Unfortunately, he leaves us with this reminder in what has turned out to be his only goal for Chelsea.

Speaking recently, Pato spoke of his time at Chelsea and a conversation he had with Guus Hiddink about playing time.

PATO WRITTEN OFF - WHAT DID YOU THINK OF HIS DEBUT!

A Chelsea Fans Blog for Chelsea Fans at related • 0 views

The game changed in Chelsea's favour as soon as Alexandre Pato came on against Aston Villa and that's because without Diego Costa, he gives us a different option.

I've been banging on for weeks for Pato to be given a chance. Having a website created counting the number of days he hadn't played since his arrival, people declaring that he is passed it and a waste of time signing him, I generally feel vindicated after just a single performance!

I am pissed off and fed up of all the shit at Chelsea this season and Guus Hiddink in the last three games has added to it in my opinion.

Reports: Chelsea Loan Dud Alexandre Pato To Return To Corinthians ‘Within The Next Few Weeks’

Having not played a single minute for Chelsea since washing ashore at Stamford Bridge at the end of January, it's being reported that Alexandre Pato's barren stint in the Premier League might soon be at an end.

Clearly unfit and unfancied by Guus Hiddink, the Brazilian striker has made the Blues' bench just twice in the past month and a half since joining from Corinthians on a low risk six-month loan deal.

Alexandre Pato is about to sign for Chelsea on a six-month loan deal until the end of the season and I am interest to read the opinions of as many Chelsea fans as possible. What do you think of him?

He's still only 26-years old and is proven quality. As I posted on here last week, the final two years he spent at AC Milan (having made the impact he had done previously) were blighted by injury and he moved back to Brazil as a result.

Why Chelsea’s striker problems make Alexandre Pato worth the gamble

EPL Talk at related • 3 views

Chelsea have historically made more eye-popping moves in the January transfer window than any other top Premier League club. Of course this season, the Blues are closer to the relegation fight than to even battling for a Europa League position, so perhaps they need to shop like every other side fearful of relegation.

Diego Costa is suspended, Loic Remy is useless and Bertrand Traore can play out wide so why not give Pato a start?

Alexandre Pato finally signed for Chelsea on a loan deal until the end of the season on Friday night and has been immediately challenged by Guus Hiddink to show desire for the game. The signing has divided opinion amongst Chelsea supporters.

With the future of Loic Remy to be decided tomorrow, Chelsea would be left with Diego Costa, Pato and Radamel Falcao as our only options available up front between now and the end of the season which has caused concern amongst our supporters.

Loic Remy is still a Chelsea player. I say that because of various stories that are flying about at the moment about the Frenchman who is looking for regular first team football.

Being honest, I was surprised that the transfer window had passed without a deal being done but according to reports, the high winds around the South of England at the time prevented the Leicester City owner from sending his personal Helicopter down to collect him to get the deal signed after a fee had been agreed.
