Arsenal have been dealt a massive blow, after both Alexander Song and Gervinho were handed three game bans, Gervinho's for his slap on Joey Barton and Song for stamping on the same player in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Newcastle.

It means both will miss games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Swansea something the Gunners can ill afford after the sale of Cesc Fabregas and the impending departure of Samir Nasri to Manchester City.

Alexander Song should have being sent-off for this stamp on Joey Barton in Yesterday's 0-0 draw between Newcastle and Arsenal, Barton did ensure Arsenal were reduced to 10 men later in the game with a bit of Play acting after scuffling with Gervinho.
