Danny Graham struck four minutes from time as Swansea ended a memorable debut Barclays Premier
League campaign with victory over Liverpool at the Liberty Stadium.
The striker fired low to Alexander Doni's left from Angel Rangel's astute ball across the box to
give the Welsh side a win to rank alongside their successes over Arsenal and Manchester City
earlier this term.
Liverpool's inconsistency in the premier league strikes again as just after picking up a
comfortable victory in the weekend, Kenny Dalglish were disappointed again this midweek as they
were humbled by Fulham at Anfield.
Martin Skertel's own goal which arrived rather early in the first half simply decided the
outcome of the tie since the Reds failed to pick up their game and grabbed the equalizing goal they
needed.

With Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard not even included on the bench and the focus clearly already
on Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley, the tone for Liverpool was set early: This wasn't a game
that especially mattered. Clearly it was an outlook reflected by the largely indifferent
performances of the men on the pitch, as a side filled with players for the most part unlikely to
play a role on the weekend shambled half-heartedly through ninety minutes against a Fulham side
that seemed nearly as uninspired.
Liverpool's form in the Premier League has been poor since the turn of
the year but have excelled in the Cups, winning the Carling Cup and getting to the final of the FA
Cup
The Reds are currently eighth in the Premier League, but the Spaniard
believes the Cup success shows they are a better team than they were 12 months ago
There's no doubt we've improved from last season already," Reina told LFC Magazine.
Kenny Dalglish has praised Craig Bellamy for his free-kick expertise after the Welshman crossed for
Andy Carroll's FA Cup semi-final winner.
Carroll's towering header from Bellamy's delivery secured a 2-1 win for Liverpool over neighbours
Everton and a third Wembley visit of the season for the Reds.
Merseyside pride and a place in the FA Cup final will be at stake when Liverpool and Everton
rekindle their fierce rivalry at Wembley Stadium.
A semi-final showdown at the home of English football appears to have all the makings of a cup
classic, with derby tensions adding extra spice to what is always a special occasion.
Kenny Dalglish is convinced Liverpool FC have the character to defy the formbook by beating Everton
to reach a second domestic cup final this season.
Having already claimed the Carling Cup in February, Dalglish's side returns to Wembley this
afternoon to take on the neighbours in their FA Cup semi-final.
Steven Gerrard has told his Liverpool team-mates they must win their FA Cup semi-final against
Everton or accept the season has been a disappointment.
The big-spending Reds have already lifted the Carling Cup this term, but that has not been enough
to prevent strong criticism of the poor form that has left them eighth in the Premier League.
They even have a blue gas canister... #LoyaltyWe're going to
Wembley thrice?
Well, that's certainly Liverpool's aim as they travel down to Wembley with the blue half of the
city on Saturday. A win here for the Reds could send them to their second Wembley final of the
season and as many Liverpool fans will admit another trophy in the cabinet would just about balance
out the poor league campaign this season.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alexander Doni's appeal for wrongful dismissal has been rejected by the
Football Association.
Doni was handed a red card during Liverpool's 3-2 win over Blackburn at Ewood Park on Tuesday
night.
The Brazilian was sent off for bringing down Junior Hoilett as he raced through on goal midway
through the first half with the Reds leading 2-0.
Ian Rush believes Andy Carroll's last-gasp winner against Blackburn on Tuesday night will give the
forward great confidence going into Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Everton.
Carroll connected with a Daniel Agger header to power the ball past Paul Robinson and settle the
Barclays Premier League clash on 90 minutes.
Liverpool are to recall Peter Gulacsi from his loan at Hull City in order to solve their
goalkeeping crisis.
Hull have announced the Hungarian will later on Wednesday return to his parent club to provide
cover for the suspended Jose Reina and Alexander Doni.
Liverpool have been plunged into a shortage of goalkeepers for this weekend's FA Cup semi-final
against Everton at Wembley.
Brad Jones made his unexpected Premier League debut for Liverpool,
after Alexander Doni was sent off in the 3-2 win at Blackburn on Tuesday. The Aussie has not played
in the FA Cup since conceding two in Middlesbrough's sixth-round defeat at Goodison during
Everton's run to the final in 2009.
With a return to Wembley to face rivals Everton coming up in a few days, it was probably
inevitable that most of the Liverpool news floating around the interwebs would be more worried
about the near future than the immediate past. That's not entirely a bad thing, though. Because,
you know, Liverpool are facing Everton on Saturday.
Andy Carroll scored an injury-time winner to give Liverpool a 3-2 win over Blackburn on a night
when stand-in goalkeeper Alexander Doni received a red card which will rule him out of Saturday's
FA Cup semi-final against Everton.

The Brazilian was unlucky to be sent off after he fouled Hoilett when
the Canadian was through on goal.
Liverpool's third-choice goalkeeper Brad Jones found himself thrust into the spotlight for all the
wrong reasons but Andy Carroll ensured he was not alone as the £35million striker snatched a
stoppage-time winner at Blackburn.
Alexander Doni, deputizing for the suspended Jose Reina, was sent off midway through the first
half, meaning Jones had to make his Premier League debut just four days before the club's FA Cup
semi-final against Everton.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish refused to discuss goalkeeper Alexander Doni's red card after his
10-man side edged out Blackburn on Tuesday night.
Reds shot-stopper Doni, in for the suspended Jose Reina, was dismissed for a foul on Junior Hoilett
and was replaced by Brad Jones who saved Yakubu's penalty.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has hailed striker Andy Carroll for refusing to let his head drop
during a testing season for both player and club.
Carroll put his hand up for a start in this weekend's FA Cup semi-final against Everton by heading
in the goal that earned the Reds a 3-2 victory over Blackburn in the Premier League on Tuesday.
Substitute Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones dedicated his penalty save to his late son after helping
his side to victory at Blackburn on Tuesday night.
The 30-year-old Australian made his Premier League debut for the Reds at Ewood Park, coming on in
the opening half after Alexander Doni, deputising for the suspended Pepe Reina, was handed his
marching orders for a foul on Junior Hoilett.
Meet Liverpool academy goalkeeper Jamie Stephens. The way things are going at the moment, he'll
fancy his chances of getting a game in the FA Cup semi-final against Everton on Saturday. For it
seems that Liverpool's senior goalkeepers have some sort of Wembley death-wish and are desperate to
avoid the big clash with their neighbours.
I suppose I better eat my words, at least for this game where Liverpool's ten men beat Blackburn
Rovers 3-2 thanks to an injury-time header from Andy Carroll.
Without further ado, Liverpool's second-string raced into a 2-0 lead after 15 mins thanks to two
goals from prolific midfielder Maxi Rodrigues.

With Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard, and Jamie Carragher rested with an eye to Saturday's FA Cup

Blackburn.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean will be hoping for a change in fortune as his
side look to bounce back from three consecutive defeats.
Liverpool play host to Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday with both sides desperate for all three
points.
The Reds are looking to arrest a horrible run of form, which has seen them lose six of their last
seven Premier League matches to culminate in them dropping to eighth spot in the table.
Villa are also in need of a morale-boosting victory as they are nervously looking over their
shoulders in the battle to stay up, with Alex McLeish's troops sitting just five points above the
drop zone.

The Reds return to action on Saturday with a home league fixture against Aston Villa. Much has
been said and written over the past few weeks with Liverpool slumping to six defeats in their last
seven league matches and have managed just 8 points from a possible 36.
Liverpool are in the midst of their worst run since the 1953-54 season, one that has Liverpool
fans asking the unthinkable: 'Is Kenny Dalglish's job safe".
The answer to that question might be answered in the next couple of week, and Kenny Dalglish
will be hoping that Alexander Doni, who has not even completed a full friendly for Liverpool, can
help get Liverpool into the FA Cup final.
Liverpool defender Sebastian Coates has backed teammate Alexander Doni to make the most of his
first start for the Reds this weekend when they host Aston Villa at Anfield.
Brazilian goalkeeper Doni is yet to make a competitive appearance for Liverpool due to the
consistency of first-choice Pepe Reina but the Spaniard's three-game suspension has created a
surprise opportunity for the 32-year old back-up.
I've got some good news and some bad news. Only the good news is probably neutral at best from a
Liverpool point of view. But for some people it's probably good news. So that's something. Mostly
for other people, though...

Alexander Doni admits he does not know if he will be at Liverpool next season as he prepares to
fill in for Pepe Reina.
Reina is facing a three-game ban following his sending off against Newcastle for violent conduct
for an apparent head-butt on James Perch.
Doni, who joined Liverpool from Roma last summer, is expected to start in goal against Aston Villa
next weekend in the absence of Reina despite not playing a competitive game for the club as yet.
Sebastian Coates believes Alexander Doni will do his best to capitalize on Pepe Reina's
three-game suspension.
Reina's red card at Newcastle United on Sunday means he could miss the Reds' Barclays Premier
League clashes with Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers, as well as the FA Cup semi-final with Everton
at Wembley.
Stefan Frei is the latest Major League Soccer standout to join Liverpool FC for offseason training.
The Toronto FC goalkeeper will spend one week practicing with the Reds, according to
TorontoFC.ca.
"This is a great opportunity for Stefan and we were happy to give him permission to train with a
historic club like Liverpool," Toronto FC manager Aron Winter said.
Liverpool has been linked with a somewhat surprising move for Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe,
who is currently on loan with Everton.
The Dutchman joined the Toffees on deadline day and will remain at Goodison Park for the remainder
of the season at least.
Everton retain an option to buy Drenthe at the end of his temporary agreement, but Liverpool may
reportedly move to scupper any proposed deal.
Liverpool are keen on rookie Romanian goalkeeper Valentin Cojocaru according to talkSPORT.
The 16-year-old stopper is widely regarded as one of the brightest young talents to come out of
eastern Europe, and is currently on the books at Steaua Bucharest.
Cojocaru has been offered the chance to train with Liverpool at the club's Melwood academy - where
Reds boss Kenny Dalglish will ask his team of coaches to determine whether or not the teenager
could have a future at Anfield.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alexander Doni suffered a dislocated finger in Tuesday's friendly defeat to
Rangers.
The 31-year-old summer signing from Roma was making a rare appearance for Kenny Dalglish's team in
the Ibrox fixture.
Doni was also one of Liverpool's standout performers on a forgettable night for the Reds, but he
had to be substituted after sustaining his injury when saving a Kyle Lafferty shot in the second
half.

It was a midseason friendly dropped in the middle of an important run of games in the league and
League Cup for Liverpool, and for all that the clubs might boast of it being a prestigious matchup
while pointing to both sides being out of Europe as a kind of justification, it never seemed a game
likely to provide much thrill and spectacle.
Stu Forster/Getty Images(Bleacher Report) The Reds ended their August fixture set on a high with a
resounding 3-1 win against Bolton Wanderers in front of a packed house at Anfield. Off to their
best start in several years, the Reds have not only been doing well on their pitch, but the efforts
of Kenny Dalglish and Damien Camolli off the pitch have seen great results.
Sao Paulo midfielder Lucas is still in the sights of Liverpool and Tottenham, it has been
claimed.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Barclays Premier League duo have been joined in the pursuit
of the £20 million-rated 19-year-old by Roma, with the latter considering a January bid.
The Brazil international has also been linked with Manchester United in the past, but Anfield and
White Hart Lane have since emerged as more likely destinations.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has confirmed there is a buyout clause written into the
contract of reported Liverpool target Ezequiel Lavezzi.
But Laurentiis is irritated that he ever reached such an agreement with Lavezzi and his
representatives - and claims it will never happen again.
"Lavezzi's agent very sneakily asked me for a buy-out clause and as a novice, I fell for it, but
from that point on I have never accepted another clause in the contract," said De Laurentiis.
Phil Thompson believes that "something big" is happening at Liverpool following their splurge
during the summer transfer window.
The Reds brought in Charlie Adam, Craig Bellamy, Sebastian Coates, Stewart Downing, Jose Enrique,
Jordan Henderson and Alexander Doni during the summer, and have started the season brightly.
