Dear Miss Berlusconi,
It's not easy for us to say this, but we find your Alexander McQueen skull scarf to be
predictably plebeian, even for the Z-list WAGs of the world. We are just not okay with you, the
Empress of the Serie A Significant Others Universe and heir to the bunga bunga throne, wearing an
accessory motif that we forced into retirement some eight seasons ago.
Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has warned the Premier League that Andy Carroll is ready to live up to
his star billing this season.
The £35million man demonstrated flashes of his ability in the second half of last season after
completing his record-breaking move to Anfield, but he was frustrated by injury.

...while Alexander Kolarov has convinced few so a new left-back might come in, possibly Leighton
Baines. What a strange, strange statement. I wonder if it gave Football365.com the same pause to
write that as I took in reading it? Don't get me wrong - Baines has been great the last few years
(and before that it was his play at Wigan that got him the big move to Everton in the first place).

Liverpool FC remains in the hunt for a left-back but Lyon's Aly Cissokho is unlikely to be filling
the void at Anfield.
The Reds have been linked with a £9million move for the 23- year-old France international.
However, reports in his homeland that a deal is imminent are wide of the mark and Liverpool are
considering other options.
A lot of crazy things can happen in football. For example: teams favored in a game can end up
losing by disproportionate numbers. Of course in the end the better teams tend to win out. Time is
a factor in every season and as things wear on, the smaller clubs with their tiny budgets just
cannot keep up.
Arsenal's crucial games against Liverpool and Man Utd in the next fortnight just got a little bit
harder as it has been revealed that the FA have given a retrospective three-match ban to Alexander

have scored a total of 7 goals in 12 league games.

Roma keeper Alexander Doni has said that his proposed move to Liverpool earlier this month failed
to go ahead because the club expected him to take a sixty per cent pay cut.
Doni failed to agree personal terms with Liverpool and decided to remain in Italy instead. He has
now broken his silence on the issue explaining that he could not afford to take such a huge drop in
his wages.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish insists the club will remain responsible in the transfer market
this summer.
The Reds have been busy during the close season with Charlie Adam joining last week on the back of
Jordan Henderson's acquisition last month.
Roma keeper Alexander Doni is set to sign on a free transfer, however, Dalglish has warned fans the
club will not be able to land all of their targets.

Liverpool have completed the signing of Stewart Downing from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee
believed to be £20m.
The 26-year-old winger, who becomes Kenny Dalglish's fourth summer signing, said: "It's a great
feeling and I'm very happy to be here. It's been a long time coming and I've had to wait a few
weeks but I'm really pleased.
Stewart Downing has revealed he was desperate to secure a move to Liverpool after the winger
finally signed for the Reds from Aston Villa on Friday night.
The 26-year-old winger had long been linked with a move to Anfield, with the England international
finally putting pen to paper after the two clubs agreed a fee, believed to be around the £20m
mark, earlier this week.
Liverpool will allow Brad Jones to build a career elsewhere if Kenny Dalglish can finalise a deal
for Roma goalkeeper Alexander Doni.
Roy Hodgson signed Jones last season as back up to Pepe Reina but the imminent arrival of Doni has
cast doubt over his future.
Jones made his debut in Liverpool's shock Carling Cup defeat to Northampton Town last season and
was eventually shipped out on loan to Derby.
Liverpool's Peter Gulacsi has joined Hull City on loan for the 2011/12 season.
The young goalkeeper is yet to represent the club in a competitive match since joining in 2008 and
manager Kenny Dalglish last week signed Brazilian Alexander Doni to provide back-up to first choice
Pepe Reina, meaning Gulacsi's chances of finding first-team minutes have diminshed further.
Swedish defender Alexander Milosevic would welcome an approach from Liverpool, according to his
agent.
Reports in The People claimed that Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has sent scouts to Sweden to watch the
player.
As skysports.com revealed earlier, the 19-year-old is also thought to be interesting a number of
other clubs, including Arsenal, Spurs and Sunderland.

Hull City spoiled Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson's Liverpool debuts with an impressive 3-0
win at the KC Stadium.
England duo Downing and Henderson were handed their first outings for Liverpool since their
big-money arrivals from Aston Villa and Sunderland respectively, but it was not an occasion to
