As you're probably all too aware, the 1-1 draw at QPR on Sunday was our 5th draw of the season.
And we've only played six games. And we remain unbeaten. You knew that, right?
Of course you did.
You might not be aware that this means we've drawn 83.33% of the (admittedly limited number of)
games so far, or that we'll finish up drawing 31 or 32 games by the end of the season if this
pattern continues.

So, we've made it to the end of yet another wild summer transfer window. Here's hoping that your
favorite side made the additions that you hoped they would, or just as importantly, didn't subtract
anyone of great importance without failing to find a proper replacement.
The Carling Cup is not the most glamorous cup competition in the world but it is a great
opportunity for some so called 'smaller' Premier League teams to have success and get into
Europe.
For years there has been some discussion about the merits of the Carling Cup, with some managers
putting out under strength sides, as they see the competition as a burden, have disrespected it to
a fair degree.
Another Scotland game, more howls of anguish.
"We were robbed/cheated/denied natural footballing justice."
Scotland v Czech Republic followed that old familiar pattern and we all felt rank rotten at the
end.
Football's an emotional game and Scotland can tease emotions like few other teams.
There's no getting away from it, that was a poor performance against an Everton side unable (or
unwilling) to field a single recognised striker. We might owe a somewhat sheepish nod in the
referee's direction, but Petrov and Gabby somehow managed to cancel out Leon Osman's opener and
Leighton Baines' second half penalty to grab a hugely valuable point we barely deserved.
Hibernian striker Garry O' Connor (28) was in hiding last night after the 16 times
capped Scottish striker was accused of failing a drugs test in 2009/10 while
playing for Birmingham City in the Premier League.
And to add insult to injury it is alleged that O'Connor was also charged with fraud after his
£100,000 Ferrari was mysteriously found crashed a few short miles from his home a few months
ago.

One wonders how much good new boss Alex McLeish will do for his Villa players' international
prospects, but according to muscular hitman Gabriel Agbonlahor, former manager Gerard Houllier
"killed" his England hopes.
The striker said: "Gerard was not much of a talker, it was more McAllister, but he was not very
good to be honest.

Dare I suggest that we can concentrate on the league now? No? Didn't think so. Nevertheless, we
are out of the Carling Cup thanks to a 2-0 loss at home to Bolton in what, by all
accounts, was an utterly dismal performance.
Chris Eagles picked up on a Marc Albrighton mistake to score a screamer from 20 yards.

Extra time Neil Warnock's big mouth has got him into plenty of trouble over the years, but never so
trivially as when he nearly lost his chewing gum before today's Premier League clash between QPR
and Aston Villa. The Hoops manager lost his gum while yelling in the general direction of Alex
McLeish. But showing [.
Aston Villa right-back Alan Hutton has hit out at the way Harry Redknapp treated him during his
three-year stay at White Hart Lane and described the club as a demoralizing place for many
players.
Hutton, who moved to Villa Park this summer, has enjoyed featuring regularly for Alex McLeish's
side but ahead of today's visit to QPR, the Scotland international made it a point to criticize his
former club.
