It seems that somehow the identity of the brothel visiting Premier League manager has somehow
remained a secret but it does appear some managers are emerging as front runners in the sleaze race
and the name mentioned most often in chatrooms and other hugely scientific places, appears to be a
certain Avram Grant (although we are not stating that this means he is the guilty party).
Birmingham City continued their fine season with an excellent victory at Goodison Park. Goals
from Cristian Benitez and Barry Ferguson gave Alex McLeish's side a two goal lead that they held
onto until Leon Osman grabbed one back for Everton but the St Andrews' side held on to make it to
round five of the FA Cup.
Birmingham City's manager Alex McLeish has been told that Ryan Babel will consider a move to St
Andrews if a fee can be agreed with Liverpool.
McLeish is understood to have had a £9m offer for the 23-year-old striker rejected, despite the
fact that the Holland international has started just three Premier League games this season and has
primarily been used as a substitute.
A week after Manchester United's shock FA Cup exit, Sir Alex Ferguson fielded a side with
immense respect for Birmingham City's Alex McCleish at St. Andrews. A match that was 1 of only 2 to
survive the inclement weather on Saturday saw a 4-5-1 with Wayne Rooney in a lone striker role
supported by Ji-sung Park and Antonio Valencia on the wings.
Any pursuit of Liverpool forward Ryan Babel by Birmingham City may be redundant as the Netherlands
international has reportedly refused to join the recently promoted outfit, according to The
Mirror.
Blues boss Alex McLeish has built a formidable side capable of grinding out positive results, but
is believed to be recruiting a goal-scorer.
After Saturday's FA Cup exploits – when Chelsea put in a professional performance to see off
Preston North End – Chelsea are now nearing a return to the nitty-gritty of Premier League
action. Wednesday's visitors are Alex McLeish's rapidly improving Birmingham.
It won't be an easy game – just a month ago Birmingham ground out a nil-nil draw with an
uninspired Chelsea who, despite Lampard and Anelka missing good chances, never really looked like
snatching all three points.
At the start of the season, an away trip to newly promoted Birmingham City would be viewed as no
great challenge, but the form of Alex McLeish's team means that they must be treated as a very
serious threat.
Their midweek defeat to Chelsea brought an end to an unbeaten run stretching back 15 games.
An interesting story coming from Alex McLeish today:
"City will take Joe Hart back at the end of the season," said the Birmingham manager.
"There is no chance of us signing him in January. We asked the question and they said that won't
happen. We never had an option from City to buy him.

According to Colin Tattum at the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham boss Alex
McLeish would neither confirm nor deny that he made an £11 million offer for
Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones. When asked, McLeish said,
"We've made inquiries about a lot of people .

Blues boss Alex McLeish could name an unchanged line-up for the ninth successive league match
while Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is set to ring the changes after the FA Cup exit
to Leeds.
Ryan Babel has found his name the subject of debate on numerous occasions this season and that was
again the case in the opening week of the new year.
This time, though, rather than sparking chatter about why he can look a world beater one moment but
a bungling novice the next, the interest Birmingham City showed in Babel opened a completely
different can of worms.
Birmingham manager Alex McLeish thought the officials had eventually made the correct decision
which led to the equaliser and the match finishing 1-1. Was he being diplomatic or respectful to
the referee? Comments please!
"The linesman's flagged for it and we felt that if he flagged for it then it shouldn't be
given," McLeish said.
UPDATE: According to the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham boss
Alex McLeish expects the deal for Michel to be completed with the

Landon Donovan's third match in an Everton shirt was substantially less successful than his

unbeatable the last three months and plays a very traditional British style of football featuring
several long time veterans of the British game.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham are still willing to listen to

to sign £13m-rated Nice striker Loic Remy.
Skysports.com understands Liverpool have rejected a new bid from Birmingham for Ryan Babel.
The Blues have been tracking the Reds winger since the opening of the January transfer window but
saw a reported £9 million bid rebuffed by the Merseyside giants at the start of the month.
Liverpool chief Rafael Benitez claimed Babel still had an integral to play at Anfield, but the
23-year-old has made just one substitute appearance since City's offer.
