Morning Insiders' we have taken the best bits from todays papers. The usual suspects are there
with the Fabregas Barcelona stories.
The Sun - Barcelona eye Rob & Fab BARCELONA have admitted both Robinho AND
Cesc Fabregas are top of their January shopping list.
Asked about Barca's interest in Manchester City's Brazilian striker Robinho, Barca sporting
director Txiki Begiristain said: "He is a very interesting footballer and could play for us in the
Champions League.

For the third consecutive year, Fulham so early in the season is a benchmark for the Arsenal.
Two years ago, after Jens Lehmann's blunder, Alex Hleb kicked-off our Premiership campaign with a
very late strike and we went on to have a memorable season. Last year, we faced them on the second
day, we lost and we went on to have a miserable season.

It's a summer of transfer and rumour madness that I'm sure will get even more mental than Britney
Spears over the course of the next few weeks.
Manchester City and Real Madrid are the main reason for bigger sums of money being spent than Beth
Ditto's chocolate bill.
To be fair to both clubs, if you've got the money then why not spend it?

It seems the last three or four days have been quite turbulent for the Arsenal. Adebayor
leaving, Tomas Rosicky back in action, more players linked with a possible move, ex-players saying
they regret leaving and so on and so forth.
We also had our share of turbulence with the server going crazy but hopefully problems are
over.

by CARL ELDRIDGE A mixed bag of tabloid tales greet those interested this morning my fellow
Wengerites but the reserves' 3-2 win at Lincoln City last night seems to have escaped mass coverage
for some reason!
For the record, goals from Gilles Sunu, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Luke Ayling's last-gasp winner
were enough to see off the Imps at Sincil Bank.

Reports in the UK media are saying that mega bucks Manchester City are preparing a £15 million
bid for Toure.
Toure was subject of a bid from Manchester City in January; in fact the Ivory Coast defender
handed in a written transfer request, but was persuaded by Wenger to withdraw it.

For various reasons, I don't really have time to write the player ratings which I've promised.
However, next week I'll go through an area of the team each day, culminating in who my player of
the season is on Friday.
But I do have a quick word to say about the Champions League final:
1)Undoubtedly the English press have been harsher than they might to United - but thats because
their absurd faith in United wasn't vindicated even slightly.

Now, grating as it is to have to analyse serial benchwarmer Alex Hleb's comments about Arsenal
needing to pay more to keep hold of their stars, it does baffle me slightly.
We've long been told that Arsenal operate a wage ceiling, but does that really impoverish these
young men by comparison to their peers?

Arsenal's new little magician has been a revelation since signing in the closing minutes of the
January transfer window. He's played only 9 games yet has 6 assists and 6 goals - and against
Liverpool became only the sixth player in Premier League history to score 4 in one game.
He has wonderful balance and dribbling ability, has a great strike with either foot, and is
superbly creative in his movement and passing.

Adebayor...21 goals last season
2007/8 Review
The common perception of Arsenal's 2007/8 team is that they over-elaborated, lacked penetration.
Conventional wisdom says that this 'Playstation football' (as Tony Cascarino recently termed it)
cost Arsenal the title. The trouble is, there really isn't much evidence to support that claim.

Let the excitement begin! For a few hours this afternoon we can go top of the league, and should
we manage that, with only 37 league games remaining only the biggest bah-humbug would write our
title chances off.
Ah, the joys and ludicrous expectancy of the opening day of the season. Are we in good
shape?

I am writing this article with anger and rage directed against none other than our dearly beloved
piece of sh*t named Alex Hleb. One can understand that he needs to make a following among the
'Bark'lona fans, but that doesn't mean he barks about any thing he feels.I think we all are aware
of the dirty mud slinging politics played by the Barcelona directors.

It has been over two months since Arsenal played out their last match, a one-nil win away to
Sunderland. The offseason has been rather tedious. We seen the departures of Jens Lehmann, Mathieu
Flamini, Alex Hleb and most recently Gilberto Silva while the future of striker Emmanuel Adebayor
remains up in the air.

Alexander Hleb the Belarussian play-maker was officially revealed in front of the hungry Spanish
media by Barcelona. Thierry Henry was also present at the event which saw Hleb kissing the Barca
Batch as though he was practicing it since he first kicked the ball. Its like, you play with your
dog, show him a piece of raw meat and you could make him do any trick in the book, with that look
in its eyes.

And I don't mean Gilberto!
Alex Hleb has finally left Arsenal. We get £11.9m for him and I'm glad that the saga is
finally over.
Hleb and his agent's conduct over the summer has been a disgrace. We don't need tossers like him at
the club, Arsenal are far better off without.
I won't deny I felt he was a good player but he has proved himself to be a slimy rat.

Samir Nasri has officially signed for Arsenal, I don't think it was ever really in doubt but it's
nice that the deal has now been concluded. Nasri signing surely means that Alex Hleb is about to

signing a very talented and hungry French international, while shipping out someone who has been

Sidwell to Villa-
This looks like a good move for Martin O'Neill who sees Steven Sidwell as a good replacement to
Gareth Barry if he moves to Liverpool. Also Villa will look to make a tidy profit if Sidwell moves
for the reported £5 million and Barry goes for £15 million.
Sidwell always didn't look like he would make it into the Chelsea 1st team and will be chomping a
the bit to get some 1st team action at Villa.

player in midfield," Sagna told L'Equipe about Hleb.

The Premier League's second and third placed sides will face off on Sunday as a day of giant
battles concludes. North London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are separated by only two points after a
recent slump in the Gunners form, and the Blues could leapfrog the Gunners if they win on Sunday.
Manchester United, who sit one place and three points ahead of Arsenal, play Liverpool at Old
