Recently we've shared that various soccer luminaries such as Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson
has advocated a spring-to-fall schedule change in advance of the 2022 World Cup. Now we find out
that UEFA itself is advancing well past the thinking stage.
The British press is reporting that the English Premier League and Bundesliga are gearing up to
fight a UEFA (specifically, Michel Plantini) plan to implement a spring-to-fall schedule
permanently for UEFA member leagues and alter the qualification calendar for international
events.
Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed he wasn't concerned about the potential of facing David Beckham
this weekend, after our former player joined the London club for training.
"I didn't expect David Beckham to be playing on Sunday," said Ferguson. "You cannot
all of a sudden come in to train for a few days and expect to play in the Premier League, even less
so against Manchester United.
Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder Anderson has revealed that for the past few months he's
been functioning as the club's babysitter for new signing Bébé. Bébé joined the club from
Portuguese football's lower divisions, and to help ease his transition to England he's been staying
with Anderson.
It is unclear at this time but rumors are circulating in the greater-Blackpool metropolitan area
that rather than using his time-tested methods for inspiring his team at halftime (see dryer, hair
and yelling...lots) Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson used yesterday's blog post on this
very site to inspire his charges.
Soccerlens Babes started as a project which will contains pictures and information about as many
wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of football as possible. Later, we were tempted to putting more babes
on the site so we looked for babes who had any kind of a connection with football.
We found out that Sara Carbonero is a hot Spanish TV reporter who covers football and later it
turned out that she got Casillas in trouble.
On a rainy day on the western shore of England, Blackpool put a scare into the Red Devils of
Manchester in an entertaining match. In the end, United prevailed as the Tangerines were unable to
finish off the League leaders, 2-3.
FORMATIONS: Both teams fielded 4-3-3 formations.
The jury is out and the debate is beginning to intensify over the team that will take the
Premier League title away from Chelsea.
Will it be the unbeaten Manchester United who have been, by far, the greatest nemesis for the
Blues in recent years? Or will it be the energetic Arsenal squad that has managed to be the only
club in the country that remains in contention for all four titles?

LONDON, England Arsenal succeeded where Manchester United failed days earlier to become only the
second team to win at St Andrew's in 30 games with a 3-0 victory over Birmingham City on Saturday.
Their success saw Arsenal stay within two points of both Premier League leaders Manchester United,
top on goal difference, and Manchester [.
The Man Utd manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been speaking ahead of tonights game against Stoke City
at Old Trafford, and has defended Tony Pulis and his team against Arsene Wenger's constant
criticism of their physical approach to the game. Ferguson said: "I suppose Arsene Wenger has been
one of their main critics but then the [.
Despite struggling to get a game, Michael Owen insists he has enjoyed every minute of his
Manchester United career, claiming that missing out on game time is worth it for getting to play
for Sir Alex Ferguson and train with our players.
"I knew when I came here that I wouldn't play every game and it would be a bit different to
what I was used to," he said.
With all the personal arrogance and Euro-centricity he could muster, which is quite a lot, all
told, Alex Ferguson dismissed the leading international football tournament of the world's most
populous continent in those four words. But the tournament which started in Qatar on Friday is
rather more important than that.
Three big stories this past week have perhaps set in motion a chain of events, the eventual results
of which may have huge implications on both the Serie A title race this season and the future of
the Italian national team. First among these, and easily the saddest tale is the season-ending knee
injury suffered by Fabio Quagliarella.
RoM has been on the receiving end of quite a bit of stick for some of the articles written about
David Beckham. Not being badly inlove with him is often confused with hatred, apparently, but let
me assure you that isn't the case.
Beckham was a great player for United and you could tell he really cared about the club.

Legend & Legendary!
The week gone by has been interesting in a lot of ways. Arsenal may not be having the best of
times on the pitch, but off the pitch the Gunners are looking very impressive. Arsenal manager,
Arsène Wenger has been named World Coach of the Decade.
LIVERPOOL, England Liverpool forward Ryan Babel has been fined £10,000 ($15,800) and warned about
his future conduct by the Football Association after admitting a charge of improper conduct

Before Manchester United FC visited Tottenham Hotspur FC this past weekend, the Spurs manager Harry
Redknapp was eager to point out that his team now had players whom his counterpart Sir Alex
Ferguson "would love at Old Trafford".
That may be the case with some individuals in a Tottenham side whose free-scoring form in UEFA
Champions League Group A (18 goals) contrasted with United's own sparsity of goals in the
competition before Christmas – their tally of seven constituting their third-lowest in 16 seasons
of group-stage competition.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has ordered his stars to embark on a grueling
training routine.
According to The Sun, Fergie has shocked the United squad by putting them through their paces in
extra training sessions since last week in an attempt to get them into tip-top shape in their quest
to become the record-breaking league champions for the 19th time.
The English Manager is a dying breed. We've touched on this topic before. First, the English
Manager was kicked out of the Top Four. Then, the English Manager was kicked out of the England
squad. Now, the English Manager is getting kicked out of the Premier League.
The tide has turned.

Sir Alex Ferguson has always been a master at re-building squads over time, knowing the right
moment to let players go and scouting out youngsters with potential and turning them into
super-stars.
But in these days of financial uncertainty, with the Glazer's self-imposed £500million debt
hanging over the club, Ferguson faces a big a job as ever if he is to refresh the squad as well as
balancing the books.
Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed he is pleased that Eric Cantona has returned to the great game
after taking on the job of Director of 'Soccer' at New York Cosmos.
"I am delighted for Eric," Ferguson said. "It is quite an innovative move by New
York Cosmos. They are rebuilding their team and although it doesn't start until next year, whether
they want Eric's knowledge, charisma or personality, it will be interesting for him.
Revenge will be on the mind of some of England's top teams today in a loaded schedule of soccer

Manchester United dropped points in controversial fashion when the Red Devils visited Birmingham
City last month, but Sir Alex Ferguson's side will look to take all three points at Old Trafford
today.
A man who first came to Manchester United a decade ago is without doubt one of the secrets behind
the success that Sir Alex Ferguson and his coaching staff have brought to the club. Apart from

Look Nick, getting past 2 is easy.
Before we turn our attention to yet another cup match, I want to take a little moment to reflect
on the league. Manchester United has just gone 5 points ahead of us, now that they've finally
played their match in hand. Yet, it could have so easily been just 2 points even after that
Tuesday's game at Blackpool.

It's often said that Matthew Le Tissier didn't make the most of his sublime talent, though only by

Seeking for more playing time in order to improve his personal qualities, Manchester United's
youngster, Federico Macheda, looks set to leave the club as his agent has already confirmed the
possibility and according to the rumors it looks like the player is indeed heading back to
Italy.
The latest reports even claims that Macheda is set to face a new experience with Sampdoria for
the next 6 months.
Being left without any certainty about his future isn't something that Machester United's
reserve goalkeeper, Tomasz Kuszczak, plans to keep having in the future especially after pretty
much going into that road for the past five years.
Speaking his mind to the media, Kuszczak stated that he believes at least next season his time
will finally come to carry the reign from United's current number one keeper, 40-years-old Edwin
Van Der Sar, who could probably playing his last season at Old Trafford.
Federico Macheda has been loaned to Italian club Sampdoria after Antonio Cassano departure to
Milan.
"Macheda has easily filled the void left by Cassano, he will definitely do well," Garrone
said.
"In these five months we will try to treat him well. With him here, the enthusiasm has increased
tenfold.
MANCHESTER, England Sampdoria have confirmed that Manchester United star Federico Macheda has
joined them on loan for the rest of the season. The 19-year-old striker was made available by Sir
Alex Ferguson after he found his route to a first-team place blocked by the emergence of Javier
Hernandez. Although Ferguson's preference was for Macheda [.
Not sure how large a grain of salt to take with this, but...Express.co.uk - Home of the Daily and
Sunday Express | Sport | FootballSir Alex Ferguson said he feared a two-week lay-off for his
striker but Rooney, who limped back on to the pitch to help United see out the game after all three
substitutes had been used, has told friends he expects to miss only one match.
Federico Macheda has revealed that the reason why he chose to join Sampdoria on loan for the
rest of the season, ahead of other Italian teams, like Lazio, who showed an interest, is because
they were the keenest to sign him. With the recent departure of Antonio Cassano, Kiko knows he
should get a lot of time in the team which will help him improve as a player.
