Blogs, forums, Twitter, texts, Facebook and telephones are currently being flooded with
discussions amongst football fans about the Wayne Rooney allegations. Can it really be true?
No
- Wayne Rooney is a Manchester United player and wouldn't dare do something like this.

Calmed down enough to only have Nani in once Game of two halves It is the ultimate footballing
cliché, but it fits the bill in every way. The first half at Old Trafford yesterday was stagnant
and uninspiring. Passes were misplaced, and Liverpool's inability to keep the ball coupled with a
degree of impotence in [.
Gerard Pique has spoken fondly of Sir Alex Ferguson and reflected on how the manager reacted
after being told he wanted to return to Barcelona.
"When I arrived there I was 17 and it was really hard for me to leave my family here, to
change club, to change all my friends," said Pique.
As seems to be the trend towards him these days, Howard Webb has attracted a large amount of
criticism for his decision not to send off John O'Shea for his foul on Fernando Torres in the lead
up to Liverpool's equaliser on Sunday. The whistler has also come in from criticism from Sir Alex
Ferguson for handing Liverpool a route back into the game with what the United boss perceived to be
some generous decisions.
Sir Alex Ferguson may have a policy where he doesn't discuss footballers personally lives away
from the pitch, but that certainly doesn't mean that the coach doesn't allow these incidents to
affect who he decides to play on the pitch. Wayne Rooney was benched yesterday at Goodison Park and
the famous 19 time title winning coach of the Red Devils did admit that it was because of the
"terrible abuse" the former Everton man receives at his old home field.
Manchester United's drab draw with Rangers summed up a relatively disappointing start to the season
for Sir Alex Ferguson's men. While they are undefeated, disappointing draws with Fulham and Everton
have left United off the pace in the Premier League, couple that with the off the field dramas
involving star striker Wayne Rooney and it makes for a frustrating few weeks at Old Trafford.
1. If a Nani falls down in a forest, and no one is around to see or hear him, do even his own fans
feel like punching him? 2. Why would a top four side allow a player to leave on a free to a rival
if they genuinely thought he was good enough to [...]
After last nights defeat at Old Trafford against their most hated rivals Liverpool fans awoke
today to read some surprising news. Roy Hodgson, only appointed in July, is seemingly about to be
replaced by Martin O'Neill who left Aston Villa on the eve of the new season. The story is a little
shocking.
It's not the first time that this story has appeared in the Sporting papers. To add wood to the
fire, yesterday MANCHESTER UNITED Manager Sir Alex Ferguson was in the crowd to watch the Valencia
– At Madrid "Liga" Round 4 clash. One could think that the Scotsman was there to "spy" on
Valencia, but what he saw was another brilliant performance from DAVID DE GEA the 19 year old

Jamie Carragher admits he has nothing but admiration for Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and Fabio
Capello but the Liverpool defender is critical of Graeme Souness' tenure at Anfield.
The 32-year-old will today enjoy his testimonial with the likes of Michael Owen, Danny Murphy,
Jerzy Dudek, Luis Garcia and Emile Heskey all set to turn out while former manager Gerard Houllier
will also be at Anfield.
Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool are both weighing up January transfer window
offers for Real Madrid misfit Karim Benzema, according to reports from Spain.
AS comments that Jose Mourinho is concerned about the former Lyon forward's ability to provide
back-up to first-choice striker Gonzalo Higuain, and has also criticized his attitude in recent
training sessions.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was never a popular character amongst Arsenal fans but this hatred climaxed
at Old Trafford at the start of the 2003/2004 season.
Patrick Vieira was on a yellow card when from the floor, he kicked out at Ruud, and was shown a
second yellow and sent off. Ruud made a meal of it and this incensed the Arsenal players and
fans.
This morning's game between Everton and Manchester United had
quite a few talking points. The debates leading up to this game were centered around how Wayne
Rooney would do on his return to Goodison Park.
It was indeed another special afternoon of Premier League action and rest assured, a lot of
drama was involved throughout. From Goodison Park all the way down to the Emirates Stadium, there
was plenty of action that ended up impacting the league table in more ways than one.
The day started at Merseyside with Manchester United's visit to Everton.
After conceding two late goals at Goodison Park on Saturday, Manchester United have to pick
themselves up for a ‘Battle of Britain' Champions League tie against Glasgow Rangers who visit
Old Trafford later this evening in the opening match of Group C.
Absent on Saturday, all eyes will be on Wayne Rooney once more.
Back in February of this year, Wolverhampton Wanderers were handed a suspended £25,000 fine by
the Premier League board for fielding a weakened team against Manchester United the previous
December.
Manager Mick McCarthy made ten changes to his team with the view of resting his
first string players for an upcoming 'relegation six-pointer' with fellow stragglers Burnley – a
game that Wolves duly won 2-0, thus vindicating McCarthy's decision entirely.

The Columbus Crew hardly showed any ill effects from the weekend's league loss at Los Angeles,
coming back with a less-than-full-strength squad and soundly defeating Joe Public FC, 3-0, in
CONCACAF Champions League play Tuesday night.
Leandre Griffit, Jason Garey and Steven Lenhart each scored after halftime, as the Crew
impressively wrapped up three points without the services of Guillermo Barros Schelotto, Will
Hesmer or Eddie Gaven.

Chelsea can not stop scoring goals, it's as simple as that. Though their Champions League Group
F tie in Slovakia looked to be a bit of an enigmatic test, The Blues really made quick
work of the Champions League debutantes. Michael Essien (CM), who found the goal
twice at the weekend against West Ham United, was the first to open scoring for the visitors.
Sir Alex Ferguson made ten changes from Saturday's 3-3 draw away to Everton in hopes what was
essentially his Carling Cup squad could see off Scottish champions Rangers last time out. A dour
0-0 draw at home is what played out on Tuesday night to open Champions League group stage play
while those ten changes got me thinking about the personnel involved in an at times spirited,
yet overall lackluster effort.
On Tuesday night, as Manchester United and Rangers were barely beginning their one-note
snore-fest "Battle of Britain", Spurs were setting Europe alight with a rip-roaring opening 20
minutes that left them two-up and Werder Bremen's players visibly stunned.
That they, perhaps inevitably, failed to win should not detract from their bravado nor the
freshness they brought to the competition.
Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Liverpool at Old
Trafford on Sunday. Tuesday's dull draw against Rangers in the Champions League was largely blamed
as a mistake in squad selection from Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scot is sure to get it right this
time in front of an expected 76,000 capacity crowd.
It is early days in the race for the Premier League title but Manchester United's 3-3 draw at
Goodison Park means that United are now four points behind reigning champions and current table
toppers Chelsea who have yet to drop a point.
Okay we are only four games in to the season but when you look at the way Chelsea have been
steamrollering some of the opposition they have met , scoring 17 goals and conceding only one in
the process, then the task that United and the other teams face in stopping the Blues from winning
a second consecutive title looks formidable.
In a surprise move which could have consequences for Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant Mike Phelan,
former Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz could be on his way back to Old Trafford for the THIRD time.

After watching the Premier League games on television this past weekend, I realized that we've
now reached a monumental place in the evolution of English football. Out of the 20 clubs in the
Premier League, there's only one that plays a traditional English style of football. And that is a
huge achievement.
Liverpool may have suffered another stuttering first half on Sunday, this time at Old Trafford,
eventually losing the game 6 minutes from time but any kind of defining moment it is not.
Sir Alex Ferguson may have just started a one man crusade to change the dictionary definition of
Berbatov from "lazy" and "flop" to "genius" since his arrival at the club (2 years on), following
90 minutes of football against their north west arrivals but outside of pride, right now, the
result means very little.
Danny Blanchflower once iconically said "The game is about glory, it is about doing things in
style and with a flourish". Spurs players since then have played with this quote hanging over
them like a burden and some have played the game true to this prophecy. Hoddle, Ardiles, Gascoigne,
Ginola - flair players all and men capable of single-handedly raising the spirits of the crowd or
drawing a collective gasp at a monstrously good piece of skill.

Let me set the scene. Newcastle United had been having their best season in decades. But after
blowing a huge lead at the top of the Premiership, they know they that must bring back three points
from Merseyside to stay in compeition with Alex Ferguson's (Not a sir back then) Manchester
United.
Last Sunday, the world was treated to a highly entertaining feast of football highlighted by
the genius of one man. Dimitar Berbatov finally lit up Old Trafford after 2 seasons of lingering in
the shadows behind the ruthless Ronaldo and Rooney (prior to Rooney's off field problems).
United's number 9 was purchased for a jaw-dropping £30.
Alex Thomas: Which team do you dread most in the Premier League?
Alex Ferguson: Well the Premier League is such a difficult league, it's almost tribalism, you
can't dismiss that impact when it comes to winning the Premier League.
I always look at the team that wins the league the year before, you have to be the target to try
to work on, it's up the rest including us to do that and Chelsea are the champions, there's no
question about that.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has admitted that there were many positives to come out of his
side's crushing 4-1 defeat against Arsenal on Tuesday. The manager insists that it was an excellent
chance to give new signing Sandro his debut, and it also allowed fringe players such as David
Bentley a chance to get some playing time.
It was only a matter of time before it happened, but Arsene Wenger has finally lost the
plot.
The Arsenal manager made an unbelievable boats to the press yesterday, claiming to be better at
developing young players than Sir Alex Ferguson.
"If you reproach me for not buying players, well if I buy players, Jack Wilshere doesn't come
out, so you cannot have everything.

The English Premier League match between Bolton Wanderers and Man United will take place at the

Game-week six in the EPL about to end and the chase for the Title is set to be the
closest yet. Manchester City beat leaders Chelsea yesterday to go fourth, Four points behind
Chelsea while Arsenal were humbled 3-2 by West Brom at the Emirates in what was the shock of today.
Manchester United will hope to come within a point of Chelsea today when they visit the Reebok
Stadium with Dimitar Berbatov
keen to add to his goal tally.
Manchester United come away from the Reebok Stadium with just a point today, after a
disappointing performance against Bolton Wanderers.
Nani's brilliant solo goal and substitute Michael Owen's headed effort saw United come from
behind twice in a game they dominated.
United dominated from the opening moments of the game but were behind after 6 minutes after poor
defending from Jonny Evans allowed Zat Knight to nip in front of him and steer Martin Petrov's
corner past Edwin Van der Sar.
Once more, it's a tale of Manchester United shooting themselves in the foot. Such talent oozing
from the walls of Old Trafford, but thus far this season, United have failed to produce the desired
results on the road. United are uncharacteristically chucking goals (and points) left and right
and that worrying trend shows no sign of abating, given the result at Bolton.

Manchester United haven't yet registered an away victory this season and speaking after the 2-2
draw against Bolton Wanderers, Nemanja Vidic revealed that their poor defensive records might be
the reasons for the failure.
The center back and current captain stated that he and his teammates are very concern with the
fact that they have concede lots of goals this season especially when they're playing away from
home.
