Milan and Juventus are currently the top two teams in the Italian league with the Rossoneri
ahead by two points but the Serie A champions have played two more matches than their rivals
Juventus. Juve's positive run, the club is undefeated this season in official play, is due to a
number of factors such as a solid defensive record and a midfield marshaled by veteran Andrea Pirlo
with the aid of Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal.
There are many critics who love bickering about the downward spiral of Italian
football but at least they have the equivalent of a glamorous Oscar
night! Finally, Zlatan Ibrahimovic silenced his entire phone-book of haters last
night and won the title of Serie A's 'Best Player in 2011′ while Edison Cavani's
Udinese were announced 'Best Club'.
It has been an odd week for Milan. From the low that last Sunday's derby loss sank us to, the
club's fortunes rose steadily from one day to the next ending in triumphant fashion with a
convincing 3-0 win over Novara. The loss to the ‘Tinkerman's' Nerazzurri posed serious questions
over Max Allegri's men, from [.
Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic Handanovic has been imperious in goal this year. Signed to Udinese for
€40000, he has since established himself as number one for club and country. Many times has he
almost single-handedly won matches for Udinese with his performances helping them finish fourthlast
season and this season challenging Juventus for the top honour.
AC Milan defender Alessandro Nesta has no plans to retire soon. The veteran Italian defender who
is now 35 made the startling remarks during an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport on
Wednesday.
Despite his numerous injuries over the years that have seen him missing lengthy spells of
regular playing time, Nesta has no desire of quitting just yet.
AC Milan recently held a Christmas party (of course, 'Natale'
is incredibly important for the land of the Pope!) where players, coaches, staff and sponsors were
invited to mingle, eat cheese and look bloody fabulous. Everyone needs to take a leaf out of these
smoldering Italians' books.

Turning their attention away from silly little issues like racism, the international footballing
authorities have announced their 55-man shortlist for the FIFPRO World XI 2011. (FIFPRO is the
Federation Internationale des Associations de Footballers Professionnels, by the way)
Six players from good old Blighty have made the list, with Wayne Rooney and Gareth Bale worthy
of their places in the elite list.
It was October 20, 2004, when Milan welcomed FC Barcelona to the San Siro on match-day three of the
Champions League. Much like today, both teams were clearly the best two in their group. Much like
today Barcelona sat in first position, Milan were in second. And much like will be today, the team
that [.
Saturday evening in Italy hosted two monumental games as Juventus travelled to the San Siro to take
on Inter, and Milan travelled to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to face Roma hoping to pick up a win
for the first time since March 2005. AC Milan have started this season in Serie A from the bottom
up but ever since injured players have been coming back especially Kevin-Prince Boateng and Robinho
the.
I have been holding my breath before declaring this, but, I think it is safe to say now; Milan are
back. In the fight again Last night's win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico made it four wins from
four for Allegri's men. Few teams in Europe are in this kind of form, Real Madrid [...]
Max Allegri has announced his squad for his side's match against Lecce. Notable yet expected
exclusions include Gennaro Gattuso, Alexandre Pato, Mathieu Flamini and Thiago Silva who are all
suffering various injuries. Philippe Mexes has been selected but Allegri has suggest Mario Yepes
may start in his place alongside Alessandro Nesta.
Milan coach Max Allegri has stated that new signing Philippe Mexes could become a starting eleven
player for the Italian champions. However, the Frenchman may still have to wait his turn as the
tactician hinted that he may start him from the bench for Sunday's night's encounter against Lecce.
"Yepes could play tomorrow.
Milan head into this fixture in confident mood after finding their feet and form this past week.
Two impressive victories, first against Palermo and then BATE Borisov in the Champions League, have
shown that the Italian champions are back, finally. Max Allegri's men will be hoping to add another
win to their form book in [.
Champions League football resumes this week as Milan entertain Belarussian side BATE Borisov at the
San Siro on Wednesday night. Max Allegri's side enter this match on the up after their impressive
3-0 win over Palermo last weekend. Robinho's return seemed to help dispense with the lethargic and
predictable side we had seen in the [.
Match Day – 6 – Milan Vs Palermo – San Siro – 15th Oct 2011 With the slowest start to the
season in the last 21 years the defending Serie A Champions entered match day six needing a win.
There were positive signs heading into the match with Palermo. Robinho was making his first
appearance [..
Few would have thought before the season started that come round 6 Milan would enter the match
against Palermo in 15th place on the table while the Sicilians – Javier Pastore-less – would be
sitting pretty in fourth. But, so it is after the club's worst start to the Serie A since 1997. Max
Allegri [.
There are many reasons why Milan have struggled so far this campaign. Amongst others, one of them
has been the injury crisis that has exposed our team's lack of depth. But, there are six reasons to
be optimistic ahead of this weekend's clash with Palermo. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Nesta,
Kevin Prince Boateng, Robinho, Gianluca Zambrotta and [.

Following last night's loss to Juventus at their impressive new stadium Milan coach Max Allegri
admitted to reporters that his side were ‘second best' and that Juve ‘deserved it'. The former
Cagliari tactician was spot on with these comments. However, he veered astray when he added,
"there's nothing worrying at all.
There hasn't been a 'Sunday Senor' feature in a while but we're taking this chance to highlight
the importance of every team's hidden asset their mascots! Last weekend, AC Milan
organised a photo shoot with members of the first team at the Milanello training ground.
Disappointingly, all the players apart from Nesta failed to show any love
towards their mascot.
On Wednesday night Milan will play host to Czech side Viktoria Plzen when Champions League action
returns to the San Siro for the first time this season. Two weeks ago Milan secured an unlikely
point at the Nou Camp against Barcelona. Many did not expect the Italians to come away with
anything, including yours truly [.
Milan's first win of the season came at a crucial time. The 1-0 result against Cesena will give the
team an important boost of confidence ahead of an important and trying week for the team. On

Talk of crisis has avoided Milan despite the club sitting in a lowly 16th position. This is because
rather than fingers being pointed at the players or coach Max Allegri for the Champions' poor start
to the campaign, the significant injury crisis has been viewed as the main reason why Milan have so
far failed [.
Tonight Milan will host high-flying Udinese and nothing less than three points in this match will
do. The Champions have started their title defence in dismal fashion. They were forced to come back
from 2-0 down against Lazio in the opening round while on Sunday they were schooled by an
impressive Napoli, who made a [.
Milan entered this new season as clear favourites to retain the Scudetto they won back in May. Yet,
after three matches played in total, two in the Serie A and one in the Champions League, things
have not gone quite to plan. The Italian champions are still without a win in the new campaign
after [...
Alessandro Nesta and The Classiest Moment at the Camp Nou last night
35 years old. 78 caps for Italy. 19 years of club football calcio in Italy. For Milan fans, for
Italians across the world, Alessandro Nesta is a man that makes you proud to be associated with him
in any way, shape, or form.

In which Milan's wily old centre-half Alessandro Nesta shows the world just how you dispossess
Lionel Messi with a nigh-on perfect, clean-as-a-whistle sliding tackle...
A nigh-on perfect, clean-as-a-whistle sliding tackle that wee Leo is obviously not overly
accustomed to.
We Milan fans are lucky. Many a night have we been blessed with magical moments in Europe's premier
club competition, the Champions League. The greatest recent memory was the year of 2007. Italian
football was a mess after Calciopoli reshaped and distorted the Serie A as a viably competitive
league. Forget the Azzurri's triumph in [.
AC Milan secured a gutsy 2-2 draw against Barcelona thanks to goals in the first and final
seconds of an absorbing match at the Nou Camp.
Pato gave the visitors a dream start when he notched the quickest matchday one goal in Champions
League history, only for Pedro Rodríguez and David Villa to reply either side of half-time.
After last Wednesday came to an end and no big signing was announced, I must admit I was
disappointed. Like last year when the club landed two great players late in the transfer window I
was hopeful the club would do so again. Far from arbitrary, the promises of the fabled Mr. X gave
my [...]
Earlier this summer Milan admitted that they had spotted their Mr. X, he was a "1.83m tall, blue
and has thick haired midfielder". This vague description sparked many rumours of players that would
fit this profile, from Kaka to Alex Witsel. In the end, however, the tale of the mysterious Mr. X
proved a great [.
The new Serie A season is nigh. That is, if the current tensions between the player's union and the
league's governing body do not end in a stalemate. This could prevent the start of the action like
it did in Spain. For the Rossoneri, it is perhaps not all such a bad thing if the [...]
Team and handlers have traveled 8,000 kilometers to face ancient rival Internazionale in this
weekend's Italian Super Cup. AC Milan will be aiming to break the deadlock on wins. Both clubs
have previously won the annual pre-season competition five times.

Super Cup match against AC Milan in the Chinese capital on Saturday.
Alessandro Nesta's face, last photo that's all we're saying...
After having the audacity to hassle a crabby Ibra straight off the plane, everyone in this
photo woke up the next day in the trauma ward at Beijing Hospital
Unbeknownst to him, Robinho is injected with a tracking device by the Chinese

Clarence Seedorf can't quite decide if he's just seen Jesus Quintana from the Big Lebowski

In which Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez is almost robbed of both his shorts and his dignity
in fell swoop by AC Milan stalwart Alessandro Nesta during last night's Audi Cup semi-final between
the two sides.
Thankfully, a ungodly 'full crack and sack' incident was averted by some nifty multi-tasking on
the German's part.
Bayern Moonich Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez showed fans a bit more than they had bargained for
during his side's Audi Cup match against AC Milan tonight. In true playground tradition, Gomez was
kegged by Alessandro Nesta. The Italian defender was uncharacteristically sloppy in allowing Gomez
to nick the ball from him, so adopted enforced [.
All week we will be unveiling the winners of our Team of the Year voting with a mixture of regular
and guest writers. Good things tend to come in two: Bert and Ernie, pairs of socks, Franco Baresi
and Paolo Maldini. Following in the footsteps of the later this season have been two outstanding
centerbacks for AC Milan, Thiago Silva and Alessandro Nesta.

The day most Milanisti were dreading is almost upon us. After months of stalling, Adriano Galliani
has finally set Tuesday, to be the day that shall determine the future of those whose contracts are
set to finish at the end of June, such as Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf and club captain Massimo
Ambrosini.
