Mexico head coach José Manuel de la Torre has released his roster for this summer's CONCACAF
Gold Cup, and there are a couple of notable exclusions.
While the squad is highlighted by Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez, key players
Jonathan Dos Santos and Carlos Vela have been left off for the El Tri side that will look to repeat
as champions of CONCACAF.

We now know one of Wednesday's semi-final match ups. After two hotly contested matches Mexico
and Honduras survived the first round of the Gold Cup knockout stages and will meet Wednesday in
Houston for a spot in the finale.
Javier Hernandez has scored yet another goal for Mexico in the Gold Cup, this time against
Guatemala. After going a goal down early on this quarter-final, Aldo de Nigris equalised for the
Mexicans, before Chicharito scored the winner on 66 minutes.
Mexico will now face Honduras in the semi-final on June 22nd and could face USA, Jamaica, Panama
or El Salvador in the final, with the other quarter-finals being played today.
CONCACAF Gold Cup tournament hosts the United States have got their campaign back on track
following a rocky group phase. The Americans sealed a place in the semi-finals of the competition
