I was lucky enough to be invited to a nihonshu (sake) tasting event combined with the Holland vs Japan game last weekend organised by Etsuko and Te-chan from tokyofoodcast. The event was held in downtown Tokyo and the bar was crammed full of a bout 30 sake enthusiasts and Japan football team fans who had come along to taste the FIFA endorsed sake from all corners of Japan.

Paul Gascoigne is to face another drink-driving charge after he was arrested by police in the Jesmond area of Newcastle on Friday afternoon.

Gazza was breathalysed, tested positive for booze and charged with drink-driving. He is set to appear at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on 20 October.

Former Newcastle, Tottenham and England midfielder Paul Gascoigne was warned by a judge yesterday that he may be facing a prison sentence after his latest altercation with the police over drink-related offences.

During a short hearing at Newcastle Magistrates' Court, Gascoigne admitted to driving whilst more than four times over the legal limit.

The Austin Aztex have confirmed a move to Orlando, Florida. The team released a press statement late this morning prior to the USL Orlando press conference this afternoon that will be streamed live via USL Live.com.

Early today USL announced a press conference scheduled for 2:00 pm EST where Steve Donner and Aztex Owner Phil Rawlins will be present along with the new coach of the team, believed to be Adrian Heath who recently signed a 3-year extension with the Aztex.

In an interview CBSSports.com, Lakers forward Ron Artest says he intends to try out for the NFL when his Lakers' contract is up after the 2013-14 season. In the past, Artest has talked about becoming a heavyweight boxer after basketball but now he's talking about football.

"God willing, after my NBA career, God willing I'm still athletic enough – which I'm trying to take care of my body as best as possible and be prepared for this day, for this tryout of an NFL team," Artest said.
