Persija v Deltras (Junior)
Moments after Gustavo Chena went down in the penalty box and the ref had waved away his somewhat pathetic appeal for a pen a chip into the area was nodded home by Junior and Persija were struggling. Their response was to bring Melky Pelky on, a former Deltra player but hardly a physical presence up front.

Billed as the Jurong derby this game was a right old cracker. Fair Play to Albirex who have a small stall selling club souvenirs even though 25 SGD for a scarf is, in classic English understatement, a bit steep. The equivelant would be going to Arsenal, paying 45 quid for a match ticket then paying 180 for a scarf.

Hello, I am a new poster on here and I will be discussing the J-League and Japanese football.
Here is this week's match of the day.
Gamba Osaka v. Albirex Niigata
Background: Finally after two weeks of no games the J-League can finally resume. Gamba should be a little rusty after not playing for 2 whole weeks while Niigata's recent 1-2 defeat against bottom-dwellers Oita Trinita in the Nabisco Cup should help keep them in match fitness.

There's a new league leader atop the J. League table with Shimizu S-Pulse overtaking Kashima Antlers on goal difference following another dramatic round of action.
A 1-1 home draw with fellow high-fliers Sanfrecce Hiroshima was enough for Shimizu S-Pulse to take over atop the standings, as Japan international Shinji Okazaki cancelled out an earlier strike from Hiroshima star Hisato Sato.
