"In The FA Cup 5th Round United Will Face.
Our next 2 games are both at Queensgate so we have a good chance of picking up some much needed
points. On Tuesday we entertain 4th placed Tadcaster Albion, they have an excellent away record so
far having lost only once on their travels and scoring 19 goals in their 9 games, so this will not
be an easy game by any means but with home advantage and a near full squad to choose from I expect
us to win the game.
WEST BROMWICH, England — Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could be out of action for two
weeks after injuring his left ankle in Saturday's 2-1 Premier League win at West Bromwich Albion.
Rooney scored in the third minute for his first goal from open play since March but hobbled off
late in the match after [.
Manchester United made the small jaunt south to the Hawthornes to k ick off the new year in the
English top flight. The undefeated visitors topped the league table. West Brom were near its
bottom.
Having not scored from open play since March, Rooney's first touch today brought the opening goal.
Tomorrow will hopefully see Scarborough Athletic back in league action when we are due to play
at Tadcaster Albion, but we have had another layer of snow fall this evening and it is snowing now
at 9.30 pm on the eve of the game so I am guessing there will be a late pitch inspection sometime
tomorrow.
As we approach the halfway point in the League One season, more or less nothing has yet been
decided and with each passing week more questions are being asked of which more or less none are
being definitively answered. No matter which we way we choose to interpret this league table, it
makes for extraordinary reading.
After a couple of weeks off, we're bringing back our weekly round-up of non-league videos.
Yesterday saw the Third Round of the FA Trophy, and our first two matches come from that
competition, kicking off with AFC Wimbledon's match against Woking. Wimbledon dropped two points
against Luton Town during the week and were looking to regain a little momentum.
Scarborough Athletic were beaten 2-0 at Selby Town on Tuesday night,
one goal in each half was enough for Town to take all 3 points following a lack lustre display by
the Seadogs, First half Boro played reasonably and had their chances but failed to take them,
something that is becoming all too common in games, but the 2nd half saw a different performance, we
played badly and could have no complaints about the final outcome.
