Liam Bridcutt was released by Chelsea on June 7. No surprise. Bridcutt, 21, is just one of many
youth products who have failed to establish themselves at the London club.
Bridcutt joined Chelsea in 2004. His senior career at the club began three years later. The
midfielder never made a first team appearance for Chelsea, but enjoyed loans spells at Yeovil,
Watford and Stockport.
There will probably bee some 'extra spice' to the match tonight against Notts County, as striker
Lee Hughes will play upfront in the team. For those of you who might not know Lee Hughes is an

In recent years West Brom have picked up the tag as the ultimate yo-yo team, proving too good
for the Championship and not quite strong enough for the Premier League. This season under the
guidance of Roberto Di Matteo the Baggies are looking to put that name to bed and they have made
the perfect start.
Five games in to the Premier League season what have we learned? Chelsea are a class act, Man

Had most people in Britain cupped their ears in a southwardly direction at just before five
o'clock on Saturday afternoon, they would have heard the faint sound of cheering coming from the
Withdean stadium in Brighton. In the midst of a desperate, crazy goalmouth scramble, six minutes
into injury time at the end of a match between Brighton & Hove Albion and Oldham Athletic which was
deadlocked at 1-1, Francisco Sandaza, whose previous career exploits had seen him play for
Valencia's 'B' team and Dundee United, bundled the ball over the line to win the match for Brighton
and send the Seagulls to the top of the League One table.
Universally challenged !

Starter for ten (or should that be thirty considering it's three questions): What can go up a
chimney down but not down a chimney up? What always ends everything? How do you score a goal and
draw a football match without ever having a shot on target?
