don't know what was supposed to happen Rafa's head exploding, Stevie G the sniper in the
Kop? but I do know that this wasn't it. Very disappointing.

Olympiacos will return to Liverpool with a bid for Spanish midfielder Albert Riera after their £5
million approach for Yossi Benayoun was rejected by the Anfield outfit, according to a report from
The Daily Mail.
The Spaniard has not managed this season to reproduce the fine form of his debut campaign on
Merseyside, and Reds boss Rafa Benitez could be tempted to part with the left-sided midfielder.
Liverpool winger Albert Riera is not about to depart Anfield and join Olympiacos, according to his

To borrow the slightly derisory words of Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson,
Tottenham are a 'top side' and no longer the 'mugs' that they once were, with a bounding start to
the season already seeing them dispatch of reigning European champions Inter, bitter local rivals
Arsenal and (most consumately of all) Champions League also-rans Werder Bremen with their patented
brand of gung-ho bombardiering.
Arsenal came from behind to defeat Bolton 4-2 and also displaced Chelsea from the Premier League
top spot on goal difference. While it was a brilliantly contested match from the Wanderers from the
better side won finally at Emirates stadium. Over at Anfield, Dirk Kuyt was the hero as he scored
twice to give his [.
Liverpool suffered a severe blow to their hopes of securing Champions League football as they were
frustrated by Mick McCarthy's side in a Barclays Premier League clash at Molineux.
The Reds actually moved above Manchester City on goal difference into fifth spot with a share of
the spoils but have played two games more.
Liverpool's inconsistent form was highlighted yet again as they were held to a goalless draw by
Wolverhampton at Molineux. The resolute Wolves side seemed to be on the top of everything that the
Hops threw their way with Albert Riera missing an early opening. Captain Steven Gerrard was
declared fit for the game but he could [.
If you could condense 90 minutes of 'action' into one split-second, then tonight's game could be
neatly summed up when, in the 90th minute of a pallid scoreless draw, Liverpool's auxiliary
right-back Jamie Carragher galloped on to a loose ball 30 yards from the Wolverhampton Wanderers
goal, screaming at Steven Gerrard to vacate its path.
