Is 2012 the year of the slump? It sure looks that way. After all, Albert Pujols only yesterday
broke his career long home run slump. Toronto FC on the other hand have run out of ideas on how to
break their historic 0-8-0 losing streak. Meanwhile, the word "early" has probably left LA Galaxy
Manager Bruce Arena's vocabulary as they have lost two in a row.
Just the thing to get the sports fan back into baseball!
Full Count can be seen free on Yahoo! Sports every night of the MLB regular season via MLB.com
according to an agreement between the two media giants.
All night long, Full Count is recounting completed games with recaps and cutting to other games at
key situations as they progress.
It's reached the boiling point. If Albert Pujols doesn't hit any better and for power by the end of
this week, he is officially in a psychological wreck.
How can any man feel good about stealing money in front of everybody? This power outage has gotten
absurd. He's in a funk, but this funk is not any old funk, it's way more serious than that for Los
Angeles-Anaheim Angels fans because Pujols was being counted to make a major impact in his first
season in Southern California.
In the offseason, the Los Angeles Angels made the splash of all splashes by signing Albert
Pujols to a deal worth $240 million. Pujols, regarded by many as the best hitter in all of
baseball, was supposed to come to the Angels and make Los Angeles elite once again. So far, that
hasn't happened. Not even close.
Fans of the New York Yankees have made Jim Hendry jokes for years. The longtime general manager
of the Chicago Cubs could never replicate the success of the Yankees. But now, the joke is on the
Yankees fans because the team has hired Hendry to be an assistant general manager.
According to reports, Hendry was given a multi-year contract and his job duties will mostly deal
with aiding Brian Cashman, the GM of the Yankees.

Excitement for sports fans ran deep Thursday night as two thrilling events were unfolding at the
same time.
The St. Louis Cardinals and LA Galaxy both took a 1-0 lead in their respective contests. But, the
teams went separate ways soon after their scores. The Cardinals lost their slim lead and the game,
2-1 in the ninth, and now have their series even at one game a piece.
The St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers are fighting for a spot in the 2011 MLB playoffs.
In a recent game between the two teams, Tony La Russa said Brewers fans went too far by saying "I
hope you get shingles again". The manager for the Cardinals had shingles for two months earlier in
the baseball season.
From the makers of the original Breakfast of Champions comes the latest hot video remix
from DJ Steve Porter, the creator of the famous Allen Iverson-Steve Mora "Practice/Playoffs" Press
Hop mash-up.
The video, "Got My Own Spoons," stars Peyton Manning, Kevin Garnett, Albert Pujols, Bryan Clay
and Hunter Kemper, all of whom helped in developing the Wheaties Fuel brand, the next generation in
the cereal made by and especially for athletes.
A bro hug in 2011 isn't a big deal. That is, unless the hug is between Jim Hendry and Albert
Pujols. Why? Jim Hendry is the general manager of the Chicago Cubs, while Albert Pujols of the St.
Louis Cardinals is a free agent after the 2011 baseball season. The hug has Cardinals fans
screaming tampering and Cubs fans fantasizing about signing baseball's best player.
Thursday is Opening Day for the 2011 Major League Baseball season. The long wait since last
year's World Series, which saw the San Francisco Giants defeat the Texas Rangers, is finally over!
On Opening Day, there are three baseball games that you definitely should watch. Luckily, all three
games can be watched on ESPN.
Spring Training is here. That means baseball is around the corner. It also means we need to post
our MLB Power Rankings of the best teams in baseball. Yeah, it's early. That said, chances are good
that the 2011 World Series champion will be in the group below. Without further ado, here are our
MLB Power Rankings of the best ten teams in baseball:
1.
Albert Pujols gave a noon deadline on Wednesday for the St. Louis Cardinals to give him a new
contract. That deadline came and went. Now the best baseball player of this generation is destined
to become a free agent after this upcoming season. The Cardinals, who can't negotiate with Pujols
anymore or even try to trade him, could very well be screwed.
The St. Louis Cardinals are facing a scary deadline. By February 19th, they either have to sign
Albert Pujols or risk losing him in free agency. Pujols, who put that deadline in place, is the
best hitter in the game right now and might go down as the best hitter in baseball history. If the
Cardinals lose him, it could take years if not decades to recover.
