What does a week with six draws get you? Oddly enough a good deal of movement in my power
rankings.
I shuffled a couple tiers around, as the top group got one team bigger and the third tier got a
few clubs larger. Really that third tier is just a bunch of mess that could either go up or down at
this point.

The Vancouver Whitecaps made history by being the MLS team with the longest start to a season
without conceding a goal, and then they proceeded to giving up three in a short span.
Led by a brace from Chris Wondolowski, the San Jose Earthquakes scored three times in 11 minutes
to defeat the Whitecaps, 3-1, at Buck Shaw Stadium on Saturday evening.

How I have missed my usual match preview interviews. It's a great way to learn about what the

The San Jose Earthquakes are Chris Wondolowski's team and rightfully so.
Over the past two seasons, Wondolowski has scored more goals than any player in MLS, earning at
least a share of the scoring title both years. But this offseason, the Earthquakes have undergone a
significant revamping across the field in hopes of reliving the pressure off one of the league's
top forwards.
After a thrilling 1-0 victory against Chivas USA, the Dynamo are back on the west coast in San
Francisco to face the San Jose Earthquakes.

Easter greetings from Sheanon Williams.
No doop this weekend but @ChrisVito kindly points out that Seba Le Toux threw down another
marker, giving him as many goals as the entire Union team.
MLS action was consistently awesome this weekend. If you missed any of it, here are full

It was a big weekend in Major League Soccer as Thierry Henry scored two more goals, while the
defending MLS Cup holder, the LA Galaxy lost for the third time this season.

Thierry Henry and Kenny Cooper each scored twice to help New York (3-2) beat Columbus (2-2).
Chris Wondolowski did not score or assist on a goal for the first time in eight games. That
didn't mean that the San Jose Earthquakes didn't have anybody else to pick up the slack and rescue
a point at home.
Alan Gordon headed home a cross from rookie Sam Garza to burn Chivas USA, one of his former
clubs, in the 88th minute and salvage a 1-1 draw for the San Jose Earthquakes at Buck Shaw Stadium
Sunday night.

Well it sure didn't take long for Real Salt Lake to dethrone the Seattle Sounders.
Just one week after the Sounders took over the top spot in the SBI MLS Power Rankings, Salt Lake
slotted back into the No. 1 position on the strength of a 1-0 win in Seattle on Saturday. At 8-3-2,
coach Jason Kreis' side is setting the pace in the race for the Supporters' Shield.
Alan Gordon came through in the clutch to prevent the San Jose Earthquakes from losing for the
second straight week, and this time he did so in spectacular fashion.
A week after heading home a late equalizer against Chivas USA, Gordon repeated his late-game
heroics by scoring a sideways bicycle kick in the last minute of regulation to give the Earthquakes
a 1-1 draw versus the Columbus Crew at Buck Shaw Stadium.
Things have just gone from bad to worse for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
With their first loss to SuperClasico rival Chivas USA in five years, the Galaxy dropped to
3-6-2 and dead last in the Western Conference. And if they're going to climb back up the standings,
they'll have to begin doing so without Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane, both of whom are on
international duty.

CARSON, Calif. -- Alan Gordon scored in stoppage time as the San Jose Earthquakes erased a late
two-goal deficit with three unanswered goals to defeat the Los Angeles Galaxy, 3-2, on Wednesday.
After going down due to goals from Hector Jimenez and Mike Magee, San Jose clawed back as Steven
Lenhart and Khari Stephenson scored before Gordon's dramatic stoppage time winner.
It seems the Los Angeles Galaxy can't catch a single break so far this season.
Not even a two-goal lead was enough for the Galaxy, not on Wednesday night against the San Jose
Earthquakes, and while the Galaxy did itself no favors by being forced to play a man down for the
remaining 31 minutes of the match, the Quakes rally was still stunning, and fittingly, it was Alan
Gordon who capped off the comeback, as his header at the death gave San Jose an improbable 3-2 win
over the Galaxy at the Home Depot Center.
When San Jose Earthquakes striker, Alan Gordon, scored the winner in the last minute of stoppage
time against LA Galaxy in Los Angeles in mid-May, he peeled off his strip in celebration. By then,
many of the 1906 Ultras, San Jose's wild band of traveling supporters, were already stripped to the
waist.
The term "Ultras" says it all: hardcore supporters at the edge, well above the norm of regular fan.
San Jose's Ultras are a band of brothers and sisters, and their roll call includes lawyers,
software engineers, union organizers, retail workers -- folks from all walks of life.
When the San Jose Earthquakes needed a late goal this past month, Alan Gordon came to the
rescue. Not once, not twice, but three times. In a row.
Gordon's trio of consecutive late-game goals directly secured five points for the Earthquakes,
and his heroics helped earn him SBI MLS Player of the Month honors, becoming the second Earthquake
to win in as many months, following in the footsteps of Chris Wondolowski.
