It's how he'd want to be rememberedThe man who filled the coveted "Supervillain" role
after Maxim Usanov left town has been unceremoniously dispatched himself. Without having to
sabotage a giant laser, use a submarine Lotus or rake any moons, TFC waived Mikael Yourassowsky
from the roster.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. With their postseason hopes officially over, the New England Revolution's
final three games won't be just about finishing the season with pride. The final three weeks of the
season are expected to be a trial period for players, especially with so much overhaul expected
after a lackluster campaign.
The Chicago Fire return to action tonight after a long break due to the FIFA International
calendar. Their opponent is a familiar one as the Fire played the San Jose Earthquakes twice in the
last week in May. The first game was the infamous U.S. Open Cup game where Chicago advanced thanks
to San Jose's Scott Sealy hitting the crossbar on the last PK attempt.

Remember Chinatown? It is a great movie about water rights, land development, and conspiracy,
starring a young Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. There is an iconic, incest revealing scene in
which Nicholson is trying to determine Dunaway's relationship to this girl. He keeps slapping her
and with each slap she switches from "my sister" to "my daughter.

Sergio Aguero is already beginning to look good for his money.
Despite reportedly not being 100% fit, Aguero came in as a second-half substitute for Manchester
City and notched two goals and an assist in a 4-0 rout of Swansea.
Aguero replaced Nigel de Jong three minutes after the hosts were put 1-0 thanks to Edin Dzeko in
the 57th, and it took only eight minutes to mark his debut with a goal — a cool finish following
a low Micah Richards cross at the far post.
The emergence of Sanna Nyassi as a speedy striker has a been a big part of Colorado's 3-0-1
record since losing Conor Casey for the season to a ruptured Achilles tendon.
What should have felled a team that was struggling to score instead led to a four goal outburst
from Nyassi and 10 points from four games.

There was no separating the San Jose Earthquakes and the traveling Portland Timbers Saturday
night as the two sides slugged out a 1-1 draw at Buck Shaw Stadium. Having initially fallen
behind to a Timbers goal, the hosts clawed their way back into the game to salvage a result.

The Vancouver Whitecaps make their first visit to San Jose in 27 years tomorrow night. These two
teams first met in 1974 during the first year of the North American Soccer League (NASL). The
Quakes ended up beating Vancouver in penalty kicks during their inaugural match. Fast forward to
tomorrow night and the Quakes are hoping to repeat the same result, without the extra time penalty
kicks though.
The revolving door at BMO Field keeps turning.
Toronto FC traded Tony Tchani to the Columbus Crew on Friday in exchange for centerback Andy Iro
and midfielder Leandre Griffit.
The move comes a day after Toronto picked up Terry Dunfield from Vancouver and dealt Jacob
Peterson, Alan Gordon and Nana Attakora to San Jose for Ryan Johnson, allocation money and an
international roster slot.
Missing star: Manchester City's Carlos Tevez, arguably the club's biggest star - and box
office draw - won't play against the Galaxy later this month. The forward, who wants to exit the
club, is seen here training with Argentina at Copa America (AP Photo).

Its been a day of trades for Toronto FC. The club has sent three players packing while picking
up two new ones.
Where to begin you may ask? I suppose I'll go for the bigger of the two. Toronto picked up
midfielder and Canadian Terry Dunfield from Vancouver in exchange for allocation money and future
considerations.
No pressure Torsten
IN THE TUNNEL:A few days after suffering one of the
most humiliating losses in the club's history (and there's a few to choose from) TFC continued its
"Places De Ro Played Tour". Tonight it was the always difficult Robertson Stadium - home of Houston
Dynamo.
I couldn't watch the San Jose game until the last few minutes, so imagine my surprise when I
turned it on to see this. Mike Magee can't pick up the ball! That's a handball!! Well, not that
night.
Who would have thought that for a number of weeks keeper would be the most exciting position on
the field for the Galaxy?
Luckily, the team we're going to be facing in this video is not the one with Red in the name,
but rather the one in red jerseys.
Among the things I'm seeing here that I hope Dynamo exploit on Saturday night:
1. Woeful defending. I think the next time TFC play together as a unit will be the first
time.
Their Words I'm still saying we are rebuilding, and its clear that once the window opens we will
have to get some players because we need them. Right now we don't have enough quality, and we are
missing a leader on the pitch. That's why it was a loss today that we could not play with Alan
Gordon who was out with an injury, because he is one of the guys who is a leader.
This July 4th weekend will feature 6 matches on national television, but only one each on Fox
Soccer and Telefutura/Galavision. ESPN2 will have four matches, with a double
header on Independence Day capped with the best match of the week as the Los Angeles Galaxy and
Seattle Sounders face off at night in Carson.
TFC attacking strategies of 2011 - not a best-sellerTFC wins have been rare things this year. Tonight Toronto managed to find a way to gain their third
of 2011, but it was underwhelming to be charitable. There is no room for gloating tonight,
Vancouver must have their eyes on Saturday's Canadian Championship game as priority one.
The chore aspect. The sun was shining this afternoon. The weather was pleasant, everything we desire in a June day. I
was wishing that this was a Saturday without Toronto FC. A night at home, chips, dips and beverages
on the deck. The setting sun and then the stars for a canopy. This last Saturday before summer
solstice seemed a night for kicking back and stretching out.
Aaron Winter has struggled to get Toronto FC to play the style of game that he wants. He has
changed what they are tactically to a 4-2-1-3 with Alan Gordon at the Target. Whereas the season
started with DeRo being the expected offensive guide the Reds now get their dynamic play from
Maicon Santos and Joao Plata.
It's tempting to think that today's match versus Toronto FC is one that the Seattle Sounders
should win. By most measures, Toronto is one of if not the worst teams in the league. They have the
worst goal differential at -10, have allowed the most goals, have the second worst shot
differential per 90, and their 5th-worst point total is inflated by the fact that they're tied for
the second-most games played this season (along with the Sounders).
Who needs Halo when you can have Zaxxon?TORONTO (14th) VS. SEATTLE (5th) BMO FIELD - SATURDAY 7PM ETTV: GOLTV THE KICKABOUT:- Have TFC improved since they were drubbed 3-0 by Sounders at Qwest Field back in April?
In this video blog episode I take a look back at the somewhat encouraging string of road draws TFC
has recently been on, culminating in Wednesday's tie versus the New England Revolution in front of
what was probably one of the smallest crowds in MLS history. I throw kudos towards youngster
Donnell Henry and to goalkeeping stalwart Stefan Frei and I speak to the significantly different
offensive look the Reds have with a real number nine like Alan Gordon in the lineup.
The New England Revolution managed to break their losing streak but were unable to find a
victory against Toronto FC tonight as the two sides battled to a scoreless draw. There were chances
on both sides but the game was truly characterized by haphazard play and poor decision-making in
the final third.
They must be so bummed he missed the Revs' match
IN THE TUNNEL:
With Boston area fans geared up to watch their Bruins in the Stanley Cup Final, this may be one of
the lowest attended MLS matches of the season. Although... how will you tell? Gillette Stadium
usually looks that empty.
Toronto FC showed up in New England and played with some of the fire that was on display late
Saturday night in Los Angeles. Not enough fire to score against the Revolution, but I give them
credit for some ignition.
There seemed to be signs of cohesion from Toronto. Players seemed to know each other that much
more.
