Reuters reports that Argentine soccer great Diego Maradona was named head coach of Dubai's Al Wasl
Sport Club on Monday in a two-season contract.
Maradona, whose last coaching role was with the Argentine national side, will join the club at a
June press conference, Al Wasl said in a statement.
Emiratos Arabes.
Well, it finally happened. After months and months on end of declaring his willingness to take
any job in the world of some stature, including some months of polite "thanks, but no thanks" looks
and shutting doors, Diego has found employment.
And it couldn't be further from the stage he enjoyed at the World Cup this summer (well, I
suppose it could, were he to have taken sabbatical to the Tanzanian second), as it's in Dubai.

Saints be praised, Al Wasl's new coach Diego Maradona has passed his UAE driving test a fact
which the Belhasa Driving Centre in Dubai celebrated by shoe-horning him in to one of the most
awkward football-themed adverts since Turkish Airlines decided it should be Ryan Giggs that was
shown chatting up the stewardess.

The swollen hand of God This is one of our favourite videos for a while. New Al Wasl manager Diego
Maradona is keen to have a photo taken with a Spanish language banner someone has made to welcome
him to the club. Unfortunately, it soon emerges that despite the nice sentiment of their banners,
Al [..
Looks like Don Diego made his best move since the 1986 World Cup leaving a footprint on a fan's
hand. That man had it coming. The banner read, "Grandfather, I'm with you, love you, Benja"
(referring to Benjamin, Maradona's grandson through daughter Giannina and Sergio Aguero).
Even better news, Maradona celebrated his first win as Al Wasl's coach.

In which, shortly before securing his first victory as Al Wasl coach (a 3-0 victory over
Emirates), Diego Maradona clambers over the hoardings for a quick photo with a banner draped over
the fencing only to be rudely and repeatedly interrupted by a grabby Al Wasl fan, an unfortunate
individual whom El Diego duly dispatches with minimum fuss.

Follow Soccer Blogger on Twitter You don't want to annoy Diego Maradona, as this poor fan will
testify.
Leave it to Diego Maradona, who is currently coaching Al Wasl in Dubai, to kick a fan trying to
ruin Maradona's photo opp with a banner. As you can see in the video below, a fan tried to lift the
banner in an effort to see the footballing legend, Maradona, who was already getting frustrated
with people trying to get into the photo frame, decided to teach the fan a lesson by kicking him in
the hand.

Nothing caps a week like a good old reminder that while some things change, others will always
remain the same.
The glaring eyes tinged with a hint of Peruvian lady at the end help too.
No doubt, the goal of the week was Real Madrid great counter attack vs. Ajax scored by Cristiano
Ronaldo, I read some opinions that says it was best ever counter attack in history. Well, I don't
like super-relatives, but I cannot recall a better counter attack from my memory,
Next is something very stunning from Argentina, reminds us of Hugo Sanchez days
Then, to their neighbor rivals, Brasil, another stunning bicycle kick
Today, I was watching a game in Egyptian cup and I was impressed by the quality of football they
got, and mostly from local players.
09.10.2011 - Con goles de
Camara (´58 y ´90),
Hassan (´71),
Feindouno (´77),
Asamoah Gyan (Al Ain), Al Wasl supo

New developments are emerging in the Carlos Tevez transfer debacle after PSG sporting director
Leonardo confirms that the club are interested in bringing the Argentine to France.
Truth be said, PSG is the last club Tevez would sign and i don't mean this disrespectfully, but
the French side really competing against some of the best and most successful clubs in the world to
land his signature.
