The fans of Saudi league side Al-Hilal are no strangers to magnificent tifos. And again, in the second leg of the AFC Champions League second leg clash with Persepolis, the home fans produced a superb Mortal Kombat-inspired display.
Starting with "Sub-Zero" from the famous video game, the display at the King Fahd International Stadium turned to a great big "Finish 'em".

The group stages in the two major Asian club competitions have concluded on Wednesday and there
was plenty of tension in the air. The remaining places in the Round of 16 stages of each
competition were up for grabs and ensured some dramatic action on Matchday 6.
In the AFC Champions League there was virtually nothing left to play for in the east of the
continent as all of the qualifiers from Groups E-H were known before kick-off.
Zenit St Petersburg fans don't like saying any of Axel Witsel's non-white skin in their kit. But he treated them to a glimpse of a bit more of his most un-Zenit-like complexion than usual as he prepared to take to the field for the friendly against Al Hilal.
The sheer volume of combined calamities needed for Al-Hilal to concede this goal boggles the mind.

After what we've seen at this year's Africa Cup of Nations it's perhaps a little foolish to talk
in terms of more shocks. Why should we continue to be shocked when our predictions are continually
thrown back in our faces time after time?
Sudan became the latest side to upset the African apple cart when they qualified for the quarter
finals last night.
With this piece by new contributor Matthew Pentz, TSG kicks off it's African soccer
coverage.
The Forgotten Footie Continent
The African Champions League exists mostly, if not completely, on the periphery of the soccer
world. The tournament blends a strong history, passionate fans, and an up-and-coming class of young
players, however, and its semifinalists each have a bit of the underdog in them.
Wydad Casablanca, African champions back in 1992, were fearful of wasting home advantage as
their game against Nigerian champions Enyimba FC looked to be heading to a goalless stalemate.
With just one matchday to play in the group stage of the CAF African Champions League only
Nigerian champions Enyimba FC have secured a place in the semi-finals. Five teams kept alive their
ambitions of progression into the final four of this year's competition and thus ensure an
interesting finish to this stage of the tournament next weekend.
The semi-final places have yet to be decided in the CAF Champions League and the CAF
Confederation Cup and with four of the six matchdays completed it seems likely that the next round
of games will be the most important played in this year's competitions so far.
Group A could've seen Nigerians Enyimba FC (4 games, 8 points) seal their place in the last four
at the weekend but they were held to a goalless draw away at bottom club Raja Casablanca who gained
only their second point of the campaign.
Despite the lack of winners and losers in the opening round of matches in the CAF Champions
League group stages this weekend there was still plenty to shout about. The CAF Confederation Cup,
Africa's second-tier competition, almost followed suit with two of this weekend's four matches
ending in a stalemate.
Mazembe won the last two titles. Who will take their title this year?
With much political and civil unrest disrupting a great deal of the 2011 CAF Champions League it
is an achievement in itself that the group stages will be played as originally scheduled. Many
games were either postponed, re-scheduled or teams disqualified from the tournament for various
reasons in what has been a difficult tournament to organize.

mastered by only small number of players. I will cover in this series some of these
players.

Since there is an international break in club action this weekend, we are going to take advantage
