Just a year ago Harry Redknapp was still managing Portsmouth. Just a year ago Redknapp turned down
a 12M pound offer from Monaco for his star playmaker Niko Kranjcar.
One year later, Portsmouth are in shambles, Harry is sharing the top of the table with Chelsea at
Tottenham, and Niko has moved from Fratton Park to White Hart Lane for less than 3M pounds.
AAAAHHHHHHHH I AM ARTUR BORUC AND THIS IS A LIST OF THINGS THAT MADE ME ANGRY THIS WEEK:
1. ARSENE WENGER'S SHOW HOW CAN YOU GET SENT OFF FOR KICKING A WATER BOTTLE?!?!?!! ONE TIME I
FILLED A WATER BOTTLE WITH MILITARY GRADE EXPLOSIVES AND THEN I DRILLED A BABY IN THE HEAD WITH IT
AND ALL I GOT WAS A WARNING!
Long ago, P.J. O'Rourke in his book A Parliament of Whores said,
"You can't get rid of poverty by giving people money."
I just can't help myself relating it to Manchester City.
The transfer window is closed. And, Manchester City, backed by big bucks, have spent near to
£120 million in this single summer transfer window and around £200 million overall since last
summer.
Sulaiman Al-Fahim is, of course, the new owner of Portsmouth Football Club, but his
accession there hasn't been without a degree of controversy. Mark Murphy wonders this emperor's new
clothes are already starting to look a bit ragged.
According to the Premier League, Sulaiman Al-Fahim is a fit and proper person to be running one
of its clubs.
Twisted fire starter Richard Scudamore generally lies low.
He is a man who was made for the shadows.
And, as ever, his words are carefully chosen, rather too carefully...
Apparently, Adebayor has "damaged the Premier League's brand" which is a bit ripe coming from the
android who has sold out top flight English football to ########

We would have thought that the brand of football had already been damaged quite enough actually.
Paul Hart was nominated by various broadsheet football journalists as "Manager of the year" last
season despite only taking charge of half of Pompy's games, following a disastrous start by Tony
Adams. Hart showed his experience and got the team organised again; keeping Portsmouth up for
another season in the top flight with relative ease in 14th position.
English football's "fit and proper persons" test, I would submit, has failed, and here are just
four reasons why:
1) Tom Hicks and George Gillett still co-own Liverpool.
2) Sulaiman Al-Fahim owns Portsmouth.
3) The Gods alone know who owns Notts County, even now "they" have "told" us
4) It isn't really a "test" at all.
