Lasse Schone Ajax- NEC midfielder joins Amsterdam giants on free transfer is a post from Soccer

giants Ajax Amsterdam on a three year contract.
Few American players have had the career at the international level as John O'Brien. O'Brien became

scored for the United States versus Portugal in the 2002 World Cup.

Manchester United followed their city rival, Manchester City's footsteps in advancing through
the 1ast 16 of Europa League but it happened through a pretty tough situation as United's opponent,
Ajax Amsterdam put up a fight at Old Trafford.
The Dutch side went on to win the game 2-1 and were very close on making a come back after going
2-0 down in the first leg, a situation which obviously gave some scares for the Red Devils devotees
at the Theater of Dreams.

Manchester United play their first match ever in the UEFA Europa League with a first leg match
against Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam. The match will take place at the Amsterdam Arena in Amsterdam,
Netherlands on Thursday, February 16, 2012.
The KNVB Beker (Dutch Cup) clash between Ajax Amsterdam and AZ Alkmaar, which was suspended due
to an attack on AZ keeper Esteban Alvarado in the initial encounter, was completed today in the
Amsterdam ArenA with the home side going down to a 3-2 defeat.
Siem de Jong gave Ajax the lead as early as the 10th minute only for the visitors to restore
parity fourteen minutes later through Maarten Martins.
AZ keeper Esteban Alvarado was sent off following this incident on Wednesday
AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado has had his red card from Wednesday's Round of 16
KNVB Beker (Dutch Cup) match against Ajax Amsterdam rescinded.
The keeper was attacked by an Ajax fan only for Esteban to retaliate on the attacker by kicking

Liverpool voiced out their rage after acknowledging FA's punishment towards their star striker,
Luis Suarez, who received an eight match as he is being found guilty in making a racist remarks
towards Manchester United's Patrice Evra.
The Reds, through their official voiced out a stern disapproval statement regarding the
decision, but reports stated that the club's response was taken off from their site 30 minutes
after being shown.

Liverpool FC is very surprised and disappointed with the decision of the FA commission to find Luis
Suárez guilty of the charges against him.
Liverpool Football Club have released an astonishing statement in response to the eight match
ban Luis Suarez has received for racially abusing Patrice Evra two months ago.
After Kenny Dalglish foolishly repeatedly defended their racist striker, the club had been left
with little option to back Suarez.
Following today's draws in the European club competitions one can't help but feel that there
could've been some tastier matches upon the horizon going into the knockout rounds of each
competition. Nonetheless the teams that do remain in each tournament will have their eyes firmly
focused on the big prize.
Difficult drawing for premiership teams didn't only happened in the Champions League but also in
the second rate European competition, Europa League, where all three English representatives are
being paired with tough sides.
Manchester United will be facing fellow Champions outcast, Ajax Amsterdam, while Manchester City
are set to battle last season's champions Fc Porto and Stoke City got pretty much the toughest one
with Valencia at sight.
