Pedro signs new deal until 2014 with senior squad

Pedro Rodríguez Ledesma today signed an improved contract with FC Barcelona that secures his inclusion with the senior squad until 2014. The release clause of the contract has also been raised now to 75 million euros.

Pedro came up under Pep Guardiola on the youth squad and last year got his first taste of the senior squad playing six league matches, four Champions League matches and three in the cup.

The Scottish football season finally came to a halt as Rangers win the Scottish Cup following their 1-0 victory over Falkirk last Saturday. The promotion and relegation fixtures have been played; St Johnstone, Raith Rovers, Ayr United, Stenhousemuir and Dumbarton are all preparing for life in a higher division following their promotions, while for Inverness Caley Thistle, Clyde, Airdrie United, Queens Park and Stranraer next season will mean having to adjust to life in a lower league. Scottish League playoffs

Tonight's game between Ayr United and Airdrie United, is the first leg of the First Division playoff final, and is live on BBC Alba - while Cowdenbeath take on Stenhousemuir in the first leg of the Second Division playoff final.

Ayr United are trying to get back into the First Division after five years in the Second Division since there relegation after the 2003-04 season.

The Scottish Cup Action Bumper Update

There's a pretty busy four days of football coming up in Scotland. The fourth round of the Scottish Cup takes place between Saturday and Tuesday and, as well as all that, there's some domestic league action down in the Second and Third divisions too.
