The University of Colorado women's soccer team beat the Air Force Academy 2-1 in a home
exhibition match Sunday at Prentup Field, kicking off the 2010-11 athletics season for the
Buffaloes.
Head coach Bill Hempen not only experimented during Sunday's matchup by starting four freshmen,
but he was constantly rotating everyone throughout the game.

In their home opener, the University of Northern Colorado used two first-half goals to put away
Air Force 2-0.
Northern Colorado seemed to be in control for most of the game, allowing the Falcons just one
shot on goal for the game and outshooting Air Force 17-5.
The Bears got on the board in the 29th minute when Kimmie Feidler headed home a cross from
Janelle Kramer.
Former Air Force soccer player Chris Foster was recently hired as an assistant coach for the
Falcon men's soccer program, according to head coach Doug Hill. Foster, who recently retired from
the U.S. Air Force, had served as a volunteer assistant for the program the last four seasons.
"We are very happy to officially have Chris on board with us," said Hill.
Oklahoma sophomore Caitlin Mooney shone in her debut for Oklahoma with three second half goals
en route to a 6-1 OU victory over Northern Colorado in exhibition play on Friday at the OU Soccer
Complex.
Mooney, an Oklahoma native, transferred to OU after appearing in the Sweet 16 with the
University of Maryland a year ago.
The Northern Colorado women's soccer program took a big step forward Sunday, defeating The
Citadel 2-1 to win the Air Force Academy Fall Classic.
