Being a new comer in the Premier League sometimes isn't easy for any footballers especially for
those coming from different competition, but that doesn't seem to be the reason for Manchester
United young striker, Javier 'Chicarito' Hernandez, who had a pretty lively season in his first
year.
Corluka's new squeeze, 27 year old Croatian model Vedrana Linardić. Apparently Vedrana loves the
way Vedran can talk for ages about anything. Vedrana also admits to wanting to be internationally
recognised before the end of her career. Dating the premiership footballer Vedran, will probably
help Vedrana achieve this aim.
Some of us might be able to spend the day watching Raheem Sterling's wonder strike over and over
again, but that doesn't mean there aren't other things out there to worry about from a Liverpool
point of view. Besides, a quick break to catch up on the Monday news and notes could do you
good...
* First off, God wants a job.
Werder Bremen's Marko Marin has denied reports that he is set for a big move to the Premier League,
and has insisted that he will stay in Germany for the time being.
The 22-year-old midfield sensation has been in fantastic form for both club and country, and has
seen his stocks rise to new heights.
U.S. Soccer has unveiled the new coaching curriculum for coaches of players ages 5-12. The
curriculum concentrates on improving the youngest players by creating more organized,
age-appropriate training sessions, developing coaching practices and creating an environment that
is fun for the players.
Thirty-four boys and girls club teams take aim at titles this weekend as the Wisconsin State
Championships, better known as the State Cup, wrap up at the Fond du Lac Sports Complex.
The nine sides that celebrate titles on Sunday also will earn berths in the U.S. Youth Soccer
Region II Championships, which are being jointly hosted by the USA Youth Soccer Complex and
Southwest Park in De Pere from June 25 to 29.
It was safely assumed by the Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish that the Toon defender Enrique would end
up at Anfield next season, but it seems that Alan Pardew will not let the Spaniard leave St. James
Park without a fight.
Newcastle have offered Enrique a fantastic new deal and slapped a price of £15m on his head, which
Dalglish thinks is well over the top for a player with just 12 months left on his contract.
This is just something else. For some reason best known to themselves, Radio 5 Live decided to task
Jamie Stangroom with assembling a band consisting entirely of footballers with the aim of getting
their track played on Radio One. Stangroom set about assembling a Mötley Crüe of musical
footballers to perform the track.
The ink is barely dry on the £38million (€45m) transfer of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid
to Manchester City and already there are reports that Man City is only a stopover for Aguero and
that he will be at Real Madrid in one to two years.
Atletico Madrid repeatedly refused to sell Aguero to Real, but rumours in Spain suggest a secret
deal has been struck between City owner Sheikh Mansour and Real president Florentino Perez.
Last season's top scorer, Dimitar Berbatov, has claimed that whenever he plays football, he
plays with the aim to entertain.
"I'm always ready to entertain," he told MUTV. "It's because when I watch a game, I
don't want to see people falling asleep during it. Even if I watch a game, if it's boring for me,
it doesn't matter if it's Real Madrid, Barcelona or some other big club playing, I just switch off
the TV.

From the Guardian:
The prospects of David Beckham making a return to the Premier League have increased as Harry
Redknapp said the player has declared his desire to join Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are now in talks
with Beckham's club, Los Angeles Galaxy, about signing the 35-year-old on loan until the Major
League Soccer season resumes in March.
After messing the club about earlier in the season, agreeing a new massive contract, then not
performing, Wayne Rooney scored an incredible goal to win the Manchester derby yesterday.
"The Manchester United fans deserve that from me," Rooney said. "I haven't had the
best of seasons and I know how big this game is in Manchester, so I hope they enjoyed
that.
Newcastle United's Jonas Gutierrez says that he's happy at the club and targets 42 points as the
primary aim for this season. I had a bad day yesterday with my articles, first thinking it was
still January and then placing Tunisia in the Middle East. It was pretty bad away from the blog
too. We've [.
Lyon coach Claude Puel said his side would face a "better balanced" team than the Real Madrid
that they beat at this stage of last season's UEFA Champions League yet, despite the absence of
Lisandro, he believes they are in the mood to repeat that success. Madrid have lost in the round of
16 six years running but José Mourinho is not looking to the past.
With promotion secured, chairman Tony 'the Lizard' Bloom is one division away from his aim of
Premier League football by 2019.
The new stadium...
Carlo Ancelotti is quoted speaking after the game last night and the focus now turns to the Premier
League title.
We are up into second place, six points behind United knowing we still have to go to Old Trafford
and United to play Arsenal and when asked about our chances, Ancelotti said:
"We are six points behind and it will not be easy to close that.
Sir Alex Ferguson once claimed that his greatest achievement was knocking Liverpool off their
fucking perch. After dominating football for years, dwarfing our success with theirs, our manager
was proud that he had created team after team which now dominated English football.
By the end of the month, the job could be well and truly complete, with a record 19th title in
touching distance.
I don't know about you but I think we've had enough in-depth analysis of the team, for now at
least. Today I shall content myself with superficial remarks and pithy observations.
Lots of headlines this morning about how Man City would like Cesc. Quite why this is news is
beyond me. I don't imagine there's any team that wouldn't like a bit of Cesc.

Yuri Zhirkov has well and truly taken aim at Chelsea's medical team and has more or less confirmed
that he wants to leave the club in order to play first team football. It's the situation with his
"injury" that he has revealed hurt him the most this season, so much so, he doesn't want to talk
about it cause it "hurts".

Steven Gerrard says Liverpool's aim next season is nothing less than to win the Premier League
title.
The Reds captain has been out of action since March, when he saw his season cut short by a groin
injury, and is looking forward to returning for the new campaign.
And the influential midfielder is eyeing silverware ahead of his comeback.

Having all sort of problems last season, Newcastle United managed to reach their target of
surviving in the premier league, this success brings a little bit confidence on one of their star
performers, Fabricio Coloccini, who believes that his team can improve next season.
Coloccini however, doesn't expect the team to challenge for higher objectives such as getting
into European football as just yet but simply finishing higher than 12th position would already be
a positive thing for Newcastle.
If we cast a yardstick over the comings and goings at Newcastle United during this transfer window,
have we done enough already to achieve Alan Pardew's aim of 'getting a reputation and moving
forward'? Confusion abounds amongst Toon fans as to exactly what's in store for us during the
remainder of this transfer window.

As far as unwinding during the off-season is concerned, Arsene Wenger has his water-slides and
Gerard Pique has his semi-automatic weaponry...

Note to self: never get on the wrong side of Pique.
Suarez: Aim is still to win it
Luis Suarez thinks Uruguay can still win the Copa America despite drawing their second
successive game in the tournament on Friday.

This post isn't really going to be about Serie A, or professional football in general. Instead
I'm going to explain the rules of game that is played all over Italy called Ventuno.
Ventuno is a game that is best played in about four or five people, but the minimum is three. A
football is required, but proper goal posts are not.
Liverpool have completed the signing of Stewart Downing from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee
believed to be £20m.
The 26-year-old winger, who becomes Kenny Dalglish's fourth summer signing, said: "It's a great
feeling and I'm very happy to be here. It's been a long time coming and I've had to wait a few
weeks but I'm really pleased.
Dirk Kuyt is happy with the way Liverpool's pre-season work is going and is looking forward to
Saturday's game against a Malaysia XI.
The Reds beat Guangdong 4-3 in the opening clash of their pre-season tour of Asia on Wednesday
since when Netherlands international Kuyt and his team-mates have been put through several intense
training sessions.
Our opening game in League 1 is against a familiar friend in the shape of Exeter City. Whilst
many are looking forward to going up against the big boys of Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton, Preston
and Sheffield United this season, our first test in the 3rd tier of English football is against the
Grecians, who we battled in the Conference just a few years ago.
As you would expect, Spurs players are talking in positive terms ahead of the new season and
although there have been no major signings at the Lane this summer, skipper Michael Dawson is
confident that the club can retain their top four status at the end of May.
"We're aiming to be in the top four, we've been in it, and the lads are hungry to be in it
again," Dawson is quoted as saying in The Independent.
Danny Welbeck put in a good shift against Manchester City during the weekend's Community Shield
game. With Chicharito out of the team whilst he recovers from a busy summer and concussion, Welbeck
was preferred to Dimitar Berbatov to start alongside Wayne Rooney.
Ahead of the start of the season, Welbeck is hoping to push on from his loan spell away at
Sunderland and earn himself a regular place in United's starting team.
Arsene Wenger was given complete control when the old Arsenal Board was in command at the Emirates,
and they were quite happy to let him run the team his way while the share price was growing
exponentially, but now there is a new man in control who has the main aim of making more money.

The new Arsenal: focus, enthusiasm, togetherness, and a
mixture of raw talent and calm experience
The interlull is almost over. Although it has been a boring period from a footballing point of
view at least we did not have to endure again the spectacle of recent interlulls: in-fighting of
fellow Arsenal fans.
