Markus Kitunen takes a look at HJK's prospects for 2010.
By all accounts HJK are by far the biggest favourite to win the Veikkausliiga title
in 2010. Honka and Inter obviously fancy their chances but while the former have weakened and the
latter are still regrouping after a disappointing season, HJK have come out stronger from the
transfer market.
Laurent Manuel, a 24-year old former Brown University player, is currently in the Stockholm area on

Yet another trip into far, foreign lands...
Neither one of these Europa League qualifying rounds has been good for Liverpool's carbon
footprint, racking up the air miles. With Grasshoppers (SUI), Utrecht (NED), AIK (SWE), FK Qarabag
(AZE) and Trabzonspor possible, Liverpool drew the Turkish opposition.

Will half the matches finish goalless again? Will anyone be allowed to witness Djurgården's
match against Helsingborg? Is Tobias Grahn bigger than God? The Allsvenskan preview asks all these
questions and answers none, as we look forward to the second round of matches.

This was a round of firsts: AIK's first win, Malmö FF's first lose, and Åtvidaberg's first
goal.
Croatian midfielder Haris Radetinac had the honour of ending Åtvidaberg's 575 minute-long
goalless streak. Unfortunately two own-goals meant their opponents Djurgården won 2-1 and
Åtvidaberg are still waiting for their first win.
Nic Townsend's back with the roundup of Gameweek Ten from his Doing Goals blog.
Yes I know, I've missed rounds 8 and 9, but those of you who read my introduction will remember
I explicitly said this wouldn't be a reliable or up-to-date news source.
In Gameweek 7 it looked like both IFK Göteborg and AIK had woken up and remembered how to play
football.
Continuing his series of profiles, Nic Townsend from Doing Goals offers his take on Sweden's
biggest club, the rodents of Stockholm.
AIK are another of Sweden's more popular clubs, but they also seem to be one of the most
detested too. Much like Millwall ("Everyone hates and we don't care") and Leeds United, they relish
