Really surprised to read La Gazzeta Dello Sport today and the particulars of a phone call
between Leonardo and Jose Mourinho last week. It appears that the two speak often, but this call
was different as it concerned a swap between the two clubs involving Maicon and Kaka.
Real Madrid wanted Maicon last season, while Inter are worried that Wesley Sneijder will move to

Argentina and Brazil may well end up meeting in the final of the 2011 Copa America as most people
envisioned before the start of the tournament, but the days of the two countries towering over the
competition in South America appear to be over.
Gameweek 5 gives us yet another batch of Fantasy Football excitement as ManU and Chelsea go against
each other in English Premier League. Before we get to that, though, let's see what went on in GW
4.
Fantasy Premier League once again showed us, that having player from a team that has a lot of great
players is not only a blessing but a curse for players of Premier league fantasy football.
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could give Tottenham an unlikely boost in their bid for
Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor. Ronaldo yesterday told reporters and club officials that
Adebayor is not needed at Real, paving the way for a potential move to White Hart Lane.
"We don't need another forward.

Anyone who correctly guesses the weight of Serio Aguero's diamond huggies in carats (without

Some sense has finally prevailed and it has been revealed that Real Madrid are now more close to
signing Adebayor than they are to signing Aguero or Neymar. To hell with Aguero, I want no piece of
him. Neymar though, I think is one for the future but I am sure Real Madrid have a [...]
According to Simon Johnson at the London Evening Standard, Chelsea owner
Roman Abramovich is expected to make big changes this summer after a dismal
season. It is reported that anybody could be on the chopping block including the likes of
Drogba, Terry, Lampard,
Malouda, Anelka, and Cole.

Manchester United winger Nani has begged with striker Dimitar Berbatov to stay at Old Trafford
after the Bulgarian was left out of the squad which lost to Barcelona in the Champions League
final. Speculation surrounding the future of the former Spurs forward began to increase after he
was repeatedly left out of the United team, with youngster Javier Hernandez taking his place in the
line-up.

Throughout the week we've looked at all areas of the Tottenham side and asked which players
should be targeted in the transfer market this summer. In attack, many fans argue that our entire
front line could be cleared out after a disappointing campaign, but while Robbie Keane and Roman
Pavlyuchenko seem certain to leave, Defoe and Crouch could be retained for the start of
2011-12.

The transfer window only opened a couple of days ago, but already there have been 21 players
linked with LFC. From Aguero to Wickham, we've got the full list here of players that so called "in
the know" people reckon we're signing; despite Kenny Dalglish pointing out that everything will be
done behind closed doors (and we've got the video to prove it).

It may have been a draw, but it probably felt like a loss for Argentina.
Argentina kicked off the 43rd edition of the Copa America in unconvincing fashion at home on
Friday night, needing a spectacular finish from substitute Sergio Aguero to tie Bolivia, 1-1.

Luiz Suarez insists the Golden Boot doesn't bother him as he focuses on winning the Copa

Suarez is currently level on three with Sergio Aguero, whose Argentinian side were dumped out in
the quarter-finals by Uruguay.

Manchester United turned around a two-goal deficit to win 3-2 against Manchester City in the

The ink is barely dry on the £38million (€45m) transfer of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid
to Manchester City and already there are reports that Man City is only a stopover for Aguero and
that he will be at Real Madrid in one to two years.
Atletico Madrid repeatedly refused to sell Aguero to Real, but rumours in Spain suggest a secret
deal has been struck between City owner Sheikh Mansour and Real president Florentino Perez.

Some will call it a sad day for football when those in a Manchester City Home strip begins their
Champions League campaign this season.
City qualified for the competition for the first time last season, proving that money really
does talk in football.
But I can't help but think that is an unfair position to take – or at the very least a
terribly pessimistic one.
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has backed Carlos Tevez after the Argentinian
striker apparently refused to play in Manchester City's Champions League tie against Bayern
Leverkusen on Tuesday.
Tevez, who made his desire to leave Manchester City apparent this summer, was a substitute for
the 2-0 defeat, but appeared to refuse to come on when manager Roberto Mancini asked him to replace
Edin Dzeko after 55 minutes at the Allianz Arena.
Mario Balotelli is knuckling down to life in the Premier League. How else can you explain two
accomplished performances in his two latest outings? Scoring goals has always been easy for the
Italian, his attitude has always been questioned. This season, however, he has let his boots do the
talking.
English Premier League has given us eight weeks of soccer action so far, and now it's time to
predict what will this new batch of fixtures bring to the football table.
Last gameweek in Fantasy Premier League saw new names arise on top of the weekly point table as the

The noisy neighbours have double-parked outside, kicked the front door off it's hinges and taken
a huge dump in the kettle.
Manchester City have just finished doling out United's heaviest home defeat since 1955, slapping
six past their bitter rivals at Old Trafford (the first time anyone's scored six at OT in the top
flight since Huddersfield Town in 1930) thanks to goals from Mario Balotelli (2), Sergio Aguero,
Edin Dzeko (2) and the superb David Silva.
To start, declarations that Manchester City are now guaranteed to win the league or triumph in
Europe come as extremely premature overreactions.
But the possible reverberations concerning Manchester City's potential future conquests in the
wake of their clinical 6-1 destruction over England's most dominant team and Europe's runner-up
only to a seemingly invincible Barca do tend to evoke the sense that Roberto Mancini is on the
verge of pushing their "noisy neighbors" tag into oblivion by reaching the stratosphere of the
world's clubs.
Feliz Martes! The FIFA Ballon d'Or preliminary list
of 23 men has been finalised and although the final 3 names will be announced on December 5th, you
have an entire month to gloss over this. There haven't been many surprises and we've highlighted
whom we think will probably and predictably make the cut based on the votes and if it doesn't work
out, they can still make this into a Ballon d'Or reality TV show!

Arsenal 0 – 1 Manchester City: Match Review
During the day there was a lot of discussion whether we should take this game seriously or
not.
It seems (according to Spanish newspaper AS) that Roman Abramovich has set his sights on Sergio
Aguero next as a direct replacement for Nicolas Anelka this summer. The fee is believed to be
around 30m Euros and the papers sources also believe that Anelka will leave and head to the MLS in
America.
It will be a chance for Aguero and Fernando Torres to re establish their partnership they had in
Madrid as Abramovich looks to rejuvenate "his Chelsea".
Sports parent alert?
What would seemingly be the product of the maniacal machinations of the PR department deep down
seems anything but, and it's quite frightening.
That one year old 'phenom' who can put his toys away, basically? He just signed a ten year deal
with VVV Venlo.
Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero has asked the Spanish club to release him from his
contract. The 22-year-old Argentine international extended his deal to 2014 in January but his
buy-out clause was reduced from £52m to £40m.
"I said long ago that when I wanted to go, I would say so publicly.
Hello there, it doesn't really feel like summer's upon us yet despite the raft of transfer
stories that abound. I blame the lack of sunshine. And summer breeze. The jasmine of my mind needs
a good blowing through.
Let's start with possible ins. Today's main story is about Karim Benzema and some quotes from
Arsene Wenger about the player.
I'm sure we have all seen the headlines so far after Arsene Wenger's comments about Karim
Benzema, just like his comments about Eden Hazard earlier on this season. They are headline makers
for sure but real options in the transfer market? I would love to see the day when he could make
those comments and back them up with action.
Liverpool midfielder Maxi Rodriguez is targeting a Champions League place after an impressive end
to the season.
The Reds endured their worst start to a campaign since 1953-54 under Roy Hodgson, but Kenny
Dalglish helped guide the team from a mid-table position to sixth place following his arrival in
January.

Normally, the game against Argentina would govern my imagination for a long time. But it would
have be a game against a real Argentinian team with Messi, Tevez, Aguero and Mascherano. The match
in Warsaw that you watched on Sunday (and that I watched a replay of yesterday) was a one against
Argentina C and therefore was treated as such by the fans, media and possibly even players on the
pitch.
