The FA has passed down it's judgement on Joey Barton, and he has been suspended for a total of
twelve games for his misdemeanours in the last game of the season against Manchester City. The
first four games of the ban cover the sending off for violent conduct, plus an extra game ban for
it being Barton's second sending off of the season – every time a player gets sent off more than
once in a season in England, they have an extra game added to their suspension for eqch subsequent
dismissal.
OTP brings you the Premier League bad boys who have picked up the longest bans (minus drugs bans).

Well well well, what can one say after all that eh? That was one hell of a season, the best I
can remember in quite a while and I'm getting on a bit. Easily the best Premiership since 1995,
well actually, the best ever since 1989, well actually the best in my lifetime, especially after
the events last Saturday night.
Joey Barton is paying a hefty price for his actions during Queens Park Rangers' season finale
against Manchester City.
Barton was fined £75,000 and banned eight games on top of the four he had already accrued for
being sent off for violent conduct and for already having been sent off before during the
season.

Kenny Dalglish wasn't the only ex-Liverpool star having a hard day of it on Wednesday. While
King Kenny was clearing out his office, poor old misunderstood intellectual Joey Barton was
preparing to fight The FA over a violent conduct charge relating to his meltdown against Man City
last weekend.
The stunned silence lasted almost 5 minutes. It was in stark contrast with the noise and uproar
that had filled the air not too long ago, but it was still as deafening. They surveyed the field
around- the weary limbs, the bloodshot eyes, the slumped shoulders. They had all done their part,
there was no blame to pass around.

Roberto Mancini's reward for guiding Manchester City to Premier League glory will be a new
£20million contract.
Mancini, who has a year left on his current deal, will sign a new four-year agreement worth
£5m-a-year.
Having made a telling late contribution to Manchester City's Premiership win Mario Balotelli has
now been named in Italy's preliminary 32 man squad for Euro 2012.
City boss Roberto Mancini had previously indicated that his 21-year old compatriot would not
feature again in a sky-blue shirt after a series of disciplinary breaches including a recent red
card against Arsenal.
The final day of the Premier League season provided more entertainment than we could have
possibly hoped for. And even though Man City came back to beat 10-man QPR with two goals during
injury time to win the title, we still must ask the all-important question: "What if it
continued?"
97' -- Mario Balotelli continues to be an upstanding citizen who quietly helps his team.
Hey gays,
Mighty impressive stuff, keeping up the season chat over at the Wigan thread. Have to say, I'm
very impressed at the level of commitment shown towards this blog.
Unfortunately, this blog is all but defunct now. Martin, Brenton, Darren and I simply do not
have the time to continue blogging here.
Man City 3-2 QPR was an eventful game to say the least. Manchester City won their first Premier
League title in almost 40 years but the game will also be remembered for the actions of a former
Man City player. Joey Barton, who left the club in 2007, has been an enigma his whole career.
There's no doubt that Barton is a talented midfielder with a terrific range of passing combined
with the work rate and determination that every captain should possess but his temperament has
never improved with age.

What happened yesterday was the stuff of nightmares and dreams, to put it mildly.
Manchester City snatching the title at the death? The media using sexual references just two
sentences shy of a Diego Maradona reference in their match recaps? Our protein enriched nails being
whittled down to shadows of their former strong selves?
Feel free to cross Raul off the last of potential summer MLS arrivals.
The Spanish striker signed a one-year deal with Al Sadd in Qatar, signalling the next move in
his legendary career. Raul, who turns 35 next month, played two seasons with German club Schalke,
with his final match with the team coming at PPL Park in a friendly against the Philadelphia Union
last week.
If you weren't going absolutely mental as Sergio Aguero found the net against QPR yesterday, you
probably don't 'get' football. Paul Merson was no exception. Unfortunately, his reaction to the
drama was being broadcast to the nation.
The Biggest Winners Of 2011/12: Manchester City, Newcastle and more - originally posted on

A fantastic last day of the season capped off one of the most memorable Premier League seasons
in the recent memory. 2011/12 has had it all; a topsy-turvy title race that literally went down to
the wire, a bitter battle for the top four, heroics in the Champions League and a breathtaking
relegation battle.
Manchester City have won the English Premier League. T'was not all roses, though. Like an
episode of the Real World on MTV, we all learned that even people with money can mess up their
lives. The Tevez saga. Eden Dzeko. The Kompany injury. Eden Dzeko. Aguero's go-kart exploits. Eden
Dzeko. Lesser teams would have crumbled, but not City.
1. It's difficult to conclude any differently than Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini: that was a
crazy finale to a crazy season. 2. Two decisive, trophy-winning goals during a longer than average
spell of injury time. Perhaps the tide really is turning in Manchester. 3. Manchester City fans

Manchester City Football club are crowned 2011-2012 Barclays Premier League champions.
It was a frantic and nerve-wracking for the club and the whole league down to the closing
seconds.
The Manicini managed club was down 1-2 at up to 90 (+2) minutes of the game, until Dzeko scored
a header from a corner.
It's been a historic season for Manchester City as they've captured the 2011-12 English Premier
League title. Below is a closer look at their season and how they ended up lifting the trophy.
August
The opening month was a good start for City as they went 3-0-0 with wins over Swansea, Bolton,
and an impressive win at White Hart Lane.
Manchester City needed two late goals to come from behind and win the 2011-12 English Premier
League title. It was a dramatic finish and was looking like Manchester United would be the ones to
lift the trophy. QPR, also had something to play for, as there would be a chance of relegation
with a loss and Bolton victory.
szólj hozzá: Patada de Joey Barton a Aguero
QPR went down to City but in the end it did not prove costly as Bolton could not pull off a win
against Stoke so they remain promoted. But no thanks to Joey Barton. This man is a disgrace to his
team and the sport. This match should have been spent marshaling players for a huge match instead
the demons inside this George Orwell quoting hack got the better of him.
Manchester City's final match of the season against QPR was intense enough before Joey Barton
once again reverted to his old criminality in the 55th minute. QPR equalized in the 48th minute to
stun City fans just as they were starting to develop the smirks of champions. But then the QPR
captain and Guardian art critic responded to Carlos Tevez hitting him by elbowing Tevez in the
face to earn a red card with his club's Premier League survival on the line.
What a Sunday we have in store. 10 games kicking off at the same time. Bolton or QPR will go down.
Manchester United or Manchester City will win the league. Arsenal, Tottenham, or Newcastle are
fighting for a place in ... Continue reading →
One of the world's best players is making a stop at Red Bull Arena this summer.
Leo Messi and Argentina will hold an open training session at Red Bull Arena on June 7, two days

The session is free to New York Red Bulls season ticket holders, but tickets will need to be

Yaya Toure struck twice in the second half to help Manchester City claim a massive 2-0 win and
take a huge step towards their first league title since 1968.
In a match that was played with excellent spirit throughout, it took Toure 70 minutes to break
the deadlock but it was well worth the wait for the visiting party at Sports Direct Arena.

Title decider? Manchester City v Manchester United preview is a post from: Just Football
Time for a look at tonight's big game in the Premier League, the potential title decider
between city rivals Manchester City and Manchester United. Head
over to Betfair football betting if you're planning a punt on the game.
After the midweek performances of both clubs the rumour regarding potential business between
Chelsea and Real Madrid has emerged again.
Gonzalo Higuain who is a proven goalscorer looks have become second fiddle to Karim Benzama in
recent weeks and looks a frustrated character.
Higuain's strike record is impressive.
I think it would be fair to say if you were to ask most people to people look back at what has
set this Premier League season apart from others the answer you'd get would have to be:
high-scoring games. For a slightly more pessimistic view: bad defending.
It is in the big games where this has been most noticeable.
We know for a fact that interrupting a person's jumpy claps can have terrible psychological

Apparently, Cristiano has La Liga covered. Anyone else make such bold claims this weekend?
Apart from Mesut Ozil's sale shopping bags, obviously.
Manchester City's manager, Roberto Mancini, finally gave a little bit positive voice about his
team's chance in beating Manchester United for the premier league title this season after his side
cut down the gap into just three points with the Manchester Derby still to come at Etihad
stadium.
The very idea of an individual walkingout of the workplace for months, and then returning a hero
may seem preposterous, but inthe footballing world, it would seem things work a
littledifferently.
The return of Carlos Tevez seems to havebrought something to the Manchester City team that was
sadlylacking during his absence, and this doesn't just boil down tohis actual contribution on the
pitch.
