Balestier Khalsa v Gombak United 1-2 (Rivaldo; Park Kang Jin, Bah Mamadou) 2,189
When I was in Singapore at the weekend a breaking story featured a footballer who was having
difficulties with his marriage. No names were given at the time. Today comes news that Gombak
United will be without the services of Kingsley Njoku while he faces uncertainty over the future of
his marriage.
Thai Port striker Sarayoot Chaikamdee capped his return to international football with the winning
goal for Thailand against Singapore at Yamaha Stadium. The deadlock was broken in the 28th minute
with Sarayoot's superb strike from 18 yards, following a lovely passing move involving Chonlatit
Jantakam, Puritat Jarikanon, Datsakorn Thonglao, Teerasil Dangda and Suchao Nuchnum.

Yeah, I know they're called South Melbourne now, the Hellas has been dropped in the name of
progress, political correctness and in a bid to appeal to a broader audience. Which is crap. I knew
plenty of people who had Hellas as their second team and they weren't all called
Postecogelouopolus.
Time moves on if I haven't and South Melbourne, who I last saw play Wollongong Macedonia at Middle
Park in 1991, they won 7-3, will next week be visiting Singapore to compete in the Singapore Cup.
BELGRADE, 24 August 2010: Singapore went down 1-0 to Serbian First Division side
FK Vojvodina Novi-Sad last night in the second of three friendly matches during their training camp
in Belgrade, Serbia. The Lions had earlier lost 1-0 to a Serbia XI in their first game last
Wednesday.
A 71st minute goal by Zeljko Damir after a defensive lapse proved to be the difference for both
sides despite the Lions creating several good chances throughout the game.
Singapore international striker Agu Casmir's relationship isn't that good.
In 2006 he was due to sign for Persija and, umm, he didn't. Two years later during the ASEAN
Football Federation Cup in Jakarta he was mercilessly booed by the Persija fans in the stadium.
Now come stories that the Gombak United striker may yet be signing for Persija teaming up with his
Singaporean international team mate Precious Emuejeraye.
