One of the offseason signings charged with stabilizing Toronto FC's back line did not even make
it to opening day.
TFC released Ecuadorian international centerback Geovanny Caicedo, citing family and trouble
adjusting to the league as reasons for ending his brief tenure with the club.
With 2012 marking the beginning of the USA's FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign and the players
here hoping to make a big impression, we decided to look back at the January camp roster from this
time in the previous two cycles to see if there is any forecasting to be done on how many players
will actually reach the World Cup.

Two American strikers are drumming up some transfer buzz in Denmark.
According to multiple reports out of the country, Danish Superliga club AGF Aarhus is looking at
Charlie Davies and Chris Wondolowski as potential targets during the transfer window, which opens
Thursday and lasts through the end of the month.
Four trialists have joined the New England Revolution's preseason camp, according to the
Revolution's latest preseason roster released today. Defender Théophile "Junior" N'Tame,
midfielders Jeremiah White and David Foley, and striker Saër Sène, join the Revs four MLS
Supplemental Draft picks as non-contracted players in camp.
You all know how much I hate fake "reports" about transfers, so let's just bat one down for good. I
have fully confirmed that AGF Aarhus is not the SAS Liga team interested in Charlie Davies,
something I've been trying to do almost since whatever Danish tabloid that started the rumour first
aired it.

Michael Bradley was one of the key figures in the U.S. men's national team's upset win over
Italy on Wednesday in part because of his ability to contain Andrea Pirlo.
His club, Chievo Verona, will be hoping Bradley can replicate that type of outing this
weekend.
The New England Revolution announced via press release today that they have signed former USA
International Jeremiah White. The speedy winger had been on a long trial stint with the Revs during
their stays in Arizona, featuring and scoring in the Desert Diamond Cup against the LA Galaxy.
White will be added to the roster pending receipt of his ITC, and is expected to join the squad for
training next week.
The New England Revolution announced the signing of 2004 MLS SuperDraft pick Jeremiah White on
Friday.
It only took eight years.
White, the Revs third round pick (23rd overall) in the 2004 Major League Soccer SuperDraft,
opted to try his luck in Europe rather than sign in MLS. The speedy winger's whirlwind tour across
the pond saw him play in Serbia with OFK Beograd, Greece with Panserraikos, France with FC Gueugnon
Denmark with AGF Aarhus, Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq, and most recently in Poland with GKS
Belchatów.
Michael Parkhurst and Nordsjaelland added yet another win to their season total at Odense while
Clarence Goodson and Brondby were forced to settle for a scoreless draw against AGF Aarhus.
Conor O'Brien played 86 minutes in SonderjyskE's central midfield on Monday night, as a comfortable
win over AGF Aarhus gave them much-needed breathing room ahead of the drop zone.
