It must feel good to be Benny Feilhaber right now.

After an impressive performance for the U.S. national team in the Confederations Cup, and after a solid showing as a substitute in a 2-1 Gold Cup victory over Honduras last week, Feilhaber scored twice in his first summer appearance for AGF Aarhus on Monday.

Freddy Adu has not played club soccer in quite some time, but that could all change this weekend.

Adu and his new club Belenenses take on Academica de Coimbra on Sunday, and a debut for Adu could potentially signal the beginning of the end to the club drought that has plagued him throughout the majority of 2009.

Goalkeepers Tim Howard and Brad Friedel led the way in Americans Abroad as both earned clean sheets for their respective clubs. Here's the full recap of Americans playing overseas in the top European soccer leagues.

Tim Howard (GK) - Everton - English Premier League - Howard had another solid game in goal as Everton defeated Sunderland 2-0 and the entire club has been in great form as of late.

It was the final weekend in many of the European leagues as goalkeeper Tim Howard grabbed another clean sheet for Everton, and midfielder Maurice Edu played for Rangers who won the Scottish Premier League title. In the League 1 Promotion Play-off final Zak Whitbread and Millwall fell to Scunthorpe, but Michael Bradley and Monchengladbach were able to avoid relegation.

The Danish league has started weeks ahead most of the other European leagues and several Americans are already making an impact. Jeremiah White and Benny Feilhaber all play in the league and were in action on Monday night. The Swedish Allsvenskan started in April and is currently in the middle of the season as American Alejandro Bedoya has found recent success playing for Orebro.

Jozy Altidore is ready to hit the English Premier League running.

The U.S. national team striker is expected to make his debut for Hull City on Saturday against EPL power Chelsea and Altidore could very well earn the start for the Tigers.

When the U.S. national team plays Brazil on Sunday in the Confederations Cup final, there will likely be twelve Brazilians on the field when the game kicks off.

After Benny Feilhaber's impressive performance in the Confederations Cup, it was assumed that he would be able to ride the momentum into a successful club season. It didn't take him long to prove it.

On Monday, Feilhaber assisted on the game-winning goal in AGF Aarhus' season opener, and it only took him 15 seconds.

Monday saw two Americans playing abroad in Europe having success. Benny Feilhaber continues to get back to his form that saw him score the game-winning goal in the 2007 Gold Cup while Alejandro Bedoya is having success in Sweden with Orebro. Here's a recap of both players and video highlights.

Feilhaber continued his good form from the Confederations Cup on June as he scored 1 goal for AGF Monday in the Danish SAS-Ligaen.

U.S. national team head coach Bob Bradley named the 22-man roster he will bring into camp for the team's upcoming World Cup qualifiers at Honduras (Oct. 10) and vs. Costa Rica (Oct. 14).

Jimmy Conrad and Kenny Cooper making returns to the squad for the first time since the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

• Chad Marshall's performance in the Gold Cup has earned him a spot on the US squad for the trip to Azteca. Interestingly, this puts Marshall past foreign based players Michael Parkhurst, and Danny Califf. Consider this a major victory for MLS, and proof that the league is comparble in quality at its top level to any European league.

That kind of rhymes, doesn't it? Today, U.S. Men's Head Coach Bob Bradley announced a 24-player training camp roster for upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against El Salvador (Sept. 5 at Rio Tinto Stadium at 7 p.m. CT) and Trinidad and Tobago (Sept 9 in Trinidad at 6 p.

The United States v Mexico rivalry continues on August 12th as they play in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying. The match is important for both teams who have not clinched a spot to next year's World Cup yet. There are a few players from the Gold Cup including Chad Marshall and Stuart Holden. The rest of the roster is similar to the Confederations Cup roster with names like Howard, Donovan, Dempsey, Onyewu, and Bocanegra.

Benny Feilhaber is nearing his return from injury - he played 90 minutes for AGF Aarhus' reserve team.

Amongst the midweek action, Carlos Bocanegra and Rennes reached the Coupe de France final after defeating Grenoble 1-0 on Tuesday. Bocanegra, who typically plays left back for the French club, played centrally in the game that saw Rennes reach the cup final for the first time in 38 years.

It was a low key weekend for Americans Abroad this weekend as there were goals scored in the top leagues. Clint Dempsey started for Fulham as they earned a victory and moved into 7th place in the Premier League. Brad Friedel was able to earn a draw as Villa are in position for European soccer next season.

After recovering from yet another serious knee injury, USMNT midfielder Benny Feilhaber has told YA that he is glad to be back in action, and looking to reestablish himself in the lineup at Danish Superliga team AGF Aarhus.

The United States has named it's 24 man roster for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers with not too many surprises. Tim Howard and Brad Guzan are the goalkeepers and Oneywu and Bocanegra will lead the defense. In midfield, Donovan, Beasley, Dempsey, and Bradley have been a regular fixture on the squad and should all start.

I guess the late season run for FC Dallas helped cash things in for a couple guys as Bob Bradley named a handful of FC Dallas players to his 22-man roster for the Slovakia friendly later this month.

Also the loss of Columbus in the playoffs meant callups for a few Crew players as well.

To me though the big news may be the re-call of Eddie Johnson, someone we haven't seen called into action in a very long time.

Chivas USA's Jonathan Bornstein and Sacha Kljestan, as well as former Goat Brad Guzan, were named to the 22-player U.S. squad today for games Saturday against Slovakia (10 a.m. Fox Soccer Channel and Galavision) and Denmark four days later (no TV by the sound of it).

In the battle for safety from the relegation zone, Michael Bradley and Borussia Moenchengladbach tied fellow relegation-threatened Arminia Bielefeld on Sunday. Bradley went 69 minutes in the 1-1 draw that saw Arminia leapfrog Moenchengladbach in the standings.

There were several Americans Abroad playing in midweek games with Zak Whitbread for Millwall, Charlie Davies at Hammarby, and several playing in the Danish SAS-Ligaen. Benny Feilhaber has been called in by U.S. national team head coach Bob Bradley for the United States' Gold Cup match vs. Honduras on Wednesday.

Feilhaber is one of seven players added to the U.

Benny Feilhaber scored what would turn out to be the game winner for AGF Aarhus on Monday afternoon, in their 3-2 win over Randers. His 45th minute goal was the third of the opening half for the visitors, adding to Mark Howard's goal in the 7th and Nando Rafael's in the 37th. Randers got one back in the 24th through Kenneth Moller Pedersen and Kasper Lorentzen scored in the 90th minute.

There are a few surprises on the roster including Robbie Findley, as well as the established players of Dempsey, Bocanegra, Howard, Donovan, and Bradley.

Our own Jimmy Conrad has been selected by Bob Bradley as one of seven defenders for the upcoming qualifiers against Honduras (without Espinoza) October 10 and Costa Rica October 14 at RFK Stadium in DC.

Not much change as one might expect at this stage of the competition, while Robbie Rogers, Landon Donovan and Jonathan Bornstein all retain their spots.

A victory in either game and the U.S. has booked a spot in South Africa.
