I groused about the US Open Cup start time last week, a post that got me branded a rampant East
Coast elitist; though that wasn't my intention (I should have simply stated that the final should
be moved to a weekend), it is certainly discouraging that much of the country would need AM
bedtimes to see the game (much less the trophy ceremony) in its entirety.
I know I'm likely in the minority in this, at least among more active fans of the Sounders, and
it's likely to be a controversial opinion, but I really don't feel any sort of rivalry with the
Timbers and I'm not sure why I'd even want to.
Much has been made of the billboard that's been put up in SoDo essentially trolling Sounders
fans.
