UEFA Champions League holders Internazionale FC of Milan are the new FIFA Club World Cup winners
having defeated surprise package TP Mazembe of Africa by a 3-0 scoreline in Abu Dhabi this evening.
Goals from Goran Pandev, Samuel Eto'o and late substitute Jonathan Biabiany sealed the deal for the
Nerazzurri and gifted coach Rafael Benítez with his second trophy as coach of the
Milanese giants having won the Italian Super Cup at the start of the season.

find out who they think is the best African player in the Premiership, and the Arsenal striker

The second leg of Africa's second club competition, the CAF Confederation Cup, was won today by
Moroccans Fath Union Sport (FUS) de Rabat. Following the goalless first leg, which was played in
Morocco a week ago, Saturday's second leg ended in triumph for the Moroccan capital side as they
sealed their maiden tournament victory with a 3-2 over two-time winners CS Sfaxien on their home
ground in Tunisia.
For the second year running the FIFA Club World Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates and
it looks like being yet another thrilling competition. Last year saw 2008-09 UEFA Champions League
holders FC Barcelona narrowly edge out 2009 Copa Libertadores winners Estudiantes de La Plata with
the Catalans needing extra-time to defeat their illustrious Argentinian opponents.

The quarter-final stages have passed in this year's FIFA Club World Cup with African champions
TP Mazembe and Asian champions Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma having made it through to the final four of
the competition where they will meet South American champions Internacional and European champions
Internazionale FC respectively.
African champions TP Mazembe have made history defeating Copa Libertadores champions SC
Internacional by two goals to nil to secure a berth in the FIFA Club World Cup final, the first
time a team from outside Europe or South America has achieved such a feat.
Brazilians Internacional, who won this tournament in 2006, had plenty of chances to score in the
game but they found Mazembe's keeper Muteba Kidiaba in inspired form as he made many saves
throughout the game.
African Football is going from strength to strength, fresh from South Africa hosting the
World Cup Finals in the Summer and Ghana coming within one kick from reaching the World Cup
Semi-Finals, Congolese club TP Mazembe have wrote another great chapter in African football by
becoming the first African club team to reach the FIFA Club World Cup Finals.

The FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday sees European champions Internazionale of Milan face up
to their history-making African counterparts TP Mazembe from the Congolese second city of
Lubumbashi. Since coming under outright official FIFA control in 2005, the Club World Cup includes
all of the seven continental champions fighting it out to become officially the world's best club
side.
The players of TP Mazembe trudged off at the end of the World Club Cup Final as losers to
Internationale of Italy. However, despite failing at the final hurdle they knew their place in
African football history was secure. Two wins, one against Mexicans Pachuha and another against
Brazilian giants Independiente catapulted the Congolese side from the relative obscurity of African
club competition into the hearts and minds of football fans the world over.
Al Ahly fans will be hoping for a home win against arch-rivals Zamalek
Every football league around the world has its own Clásico; in Spain there's little
denying that Real Madrid against FC Barcelona is as big as it gets whilst Boca Juniors against
River Plate gets the pulses racing more than any other fixture in Argentina.
