Airport all the way to Kuwuat via Qatar. There are also some good shots from a training session at
Al-Qadsia Sports Club. Great work Prapojs!

Thai Port's AFC Cup run came to end with a dreadful performance in Kuwait. Their defensive game
plan failed miserably as Al-Qadsia were seemingly able to attack at will. On the rare occasions
that Port did manage to muster some pressure, they created three or four great chances to score,
hitting the woodwork twice.
CLICK HERE for plenty more match photos taken by Thai Port photographer Prapojs. It is nice
to see that there was a decent contingent of Thai people inside the Stadium!

Here is the view from the rain soaked terraces at Suphachalasai. Click here to see more
photos from in and around the Stadium. It's nice to see that fans of other teams were in
attendance, including several Muangthong supporters.

At the end of my preview article for the Thai Port vs Al-Qadsia first-leg match, I wrote: "It is
vital that we take a positive result into the second-leg, because from what I've heard about these
kind of games, you don't get much out of the referee in the Middle East". That comment looks
even more pertinent following the AFC's announcement that the match officials for Tuesday's game
are all from Iran, a country separated from Kuwait by 9 miles of Iraqi desert at their closest
point.

Thai Port go into Tuesday evenings game at Suphachalasai Stadium on the back of some patchy recent
form. The orange & blues have only won 2 of their last 8 games, so they will need to up their game
considerably if they are to get a positive result against the 2009 & 2010 Kuwait Premier League
champions Al-Qadsia.
The AFC Cup quarter final first-leg between Thai Port and Al-Qadsia ended in a goalless draw. The
game was played in difficult conditions at Suphachalasai, as heavy rain swept into the Stadium for
the entire game, creating a difficult surface on which to play cohesive football.
The home side adapted to the conditions quickest, creating a couple early chances.
Things are obviously getting less formal at the AFC if yesterday's official teamsheet is anything
to go by. Sarayoot Chaikamdee was listed as 'Joe5yard', the English translation of his Thai
nickname. The terminally confused British commentator must have thought the 5 was an S and spent
the whole match calling him Joe-sigh-ard Sarayoot!

The Thai Port squad & staff departed Suvarnabhumi Airport at 09:00 this morning bound for Kuwait
(via Qatar). I've seen photos of the hotel in Kuwait City where the team will be staying - and very
nice it is too! The lads will have time to enjoy the surroundings and relax by one of the several
swimming pools, but I am sure that Sasom and his staff will ensure that every player is 100% ready
for the challenge that awaits them.
