Lausanne, 1 February 2012 The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has decided to grant the provisional measures requested by the Indonesian Football Club Persipura Jayapura and to order the reinstatement of the club in the AFC Champions League 2012.

Persipura was supposed to play the 2012 AFC Champions League Playoffs (East-Zone) on 11 February 2012 against Adelaïde United FC (Australia).

Thai Premier League Co chairmain Vichit Yamboonruang said yesterday it was good that the Asian Football Confederation found that most TPL clubs have inadequate stadiums and facilities.

AFC representatives last week inspected TLP teams' stadiums and found that only four met the Asian football governing body's requirements.

A Singapore newspaper is reporting that of last night's near 2,000 attendance for the Albirex Niigata v Etoile game, only 490 were paying spectators! The rest were freebies, media and security personnel! And ballboys.

But you know what? That official attendance doesn't actually reflect the number of people who actually went to the stadium.
