KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Nepal have placed bid to host the group stage of the AFC Challenge Cup
2012. The group stage will be held in 2011. Nepal had also hosted the group stage of the previous
edition of the tournament.
"We have already informed the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) that Nepal would participate in
the event and bid to host the group stage," ANFA President Ganesh Thapa, who is also the president
of the Challenge Cup organizing committee, said.

KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Nepal is drawn against defending champion DPR Korea and Sri Lanka for
the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 in the group-D. Winners of the play-off match between Bhutan and
Afghanistan will join the group-D.
