Cesc Fabregas has furiously denied bad-mouthing the Arsenal and insisting he didn't leave, as
claimed in an interview, because the Gunners couldn't win silverware in the next few years.
Cesc-gate erupted yesterday with a supposed interview in which the Barcelona midfielder set out
his reasons for quitting the Emirates, chief amongst them was the percieved inability for Arsene
Wenger to steer the club to some trophies any time soon.
Arsene Wenger eventually made some significant signings as the transfer window slammed shut with
Mike Arteta arguably being the pick of the bunch of the new recruits for the Gunners.
But AW isn't the only one who has been busy tracking down top talent to represent the
Arsenal.
Until there is a serious crackdown on diving in professional and international soccer, we'll
probably being seeing dives even more horrific than this one by Ryuji Bando in a recent AFC match
between Cerezo Osaka v Jeonbuk FC. While all sports have a certain level of gamesmanship, a certain
level of crossing the lines, the fact that players in club football, like Bando, think there is
something to be gained if they take such a blatant, horrible dive is evidence enough that football
officials need to crackdown and issue stiffer penalties for diving.
Congratulations to Phnom Penh Crown who were, umm, crowned C League champions in Cambodia last
weekend. Since David Booth came in to replace the China bound Bojan Hodak PPC won all eight games,
allowing them to stretch clear of nearest challengers Naga Corp.
PPC have shown themselves to be a very ambitious football club with an academy , merchandising, a
cafe, a regularly updated website plus regular appearances in the Singapore Cup.
The man they called the "White Pele" never failed to reiterate his opinion on having game to be
played on artificial surface after made known to the media a day earlier.
"To me personally, I think good football should be played on natural grass and artificial surface
shall be used by small children in training instead.

They made not be going to the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup after being banned due to the positive
drug tests this summer in Germany, but North Korea will be at the Olympics in London next summer
after finishing second behind Japan in the AFC Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
North Korea just needed to avoid defeat against Thailand in its final match to join the
already-qualified Japanese in London and ended up winning 5-0.

Bolton Wanderers fail to make a good impression at The Emirates.
Remember the below backheel from a few months ago? Well, the 21-year old Arab Emirates star
tragically died in a car accident over the weekend, while driving home from
training with his brother.
Awana Diab, who became an instant internet sensation because of the cheeky
backheel, was seen as big prospect for the future.
The FA Cup hasn't even reached the second qualifying round yet but already a second club in the

League Division One South and West, are already out thanks to player ruled ineligible due to a a
fine from a previous club, a fine which the club were not made aware of by either the player or
