Caught Offside 14 November @ 04:56 AM EST

This kid continues to show real promise and I am sure I am not alone in wishing that Rafa would bring him back to Anfield from his loan spell at AEK Athens. A few minutes after he scored this goal he was taken off with an injury, hopefully nothing serious. This goal put a rapidly improving Hungarian Under 21 side the lead against their Italian counterparts in this European Under Championship qualifier and reported Liverpool target Vladimir Koman got the second (Video also below)

EPL Talk 06 November @ 07:55 AM EST

This season has not started the best for Everton, so far they have been unable to recapture the form they showed last season in the league and  sit a lowly 13th. Couple this with two heavy defeats and the hands of Benfica in the Europa league and things aren't looking so rosy for David Moyes and his men.

With Champions League action done and dusted once again, attention turns to the Europa League today. Americans Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey could all see action again as their respective clubs continue group play.

Howard and Everton head to Borisov, Belarus to take on FC BATE. The lengthy trip will certainly factor into the squad selection, though this second match could be critical for an Everton side that started off well with a 4-0 win against AEK Athens at home.

Rodwell: Poise, Maturity & Culture

Championship Talk 19 September @ 08:37 AM EST

From The Writings Of Jonny Carter: September 2009Â

Rodwell: Poise, Maturity & CultureÂ

It wasn't the strongest or most organised of European opposition but that wasn't the fault of Everton.Â

The rather convoluted route to a Europa League final derided with an experimental overpopulation of match officials has sometimes brought the validity of the event into question.

Fulham, Everton in action as Europa League Group Stages start today

Soccer By Ives 17 September @ 10:31 AM EST

With the Europa League group stages starting today, it will likely translate into European action on a regular basis for Fulham and Everton regulars Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard. However, Dempsey is set to miss Fulham's opener against CSKA Moscow due to an injury. With Roy Hodgson set to rest a number of regular starters, there's a chance -- however slight -- that Eddie Johnson might see some action today against the Russian club.

Proof that Liverpool Striker Nemeth Should be Brought Back Home (Video)

Caught Offside 11 September @ 12:06 PM EST

Given the paucity of options we have in attack, where Voronin in somehow still given a run out and we have little or no cover for the mesmeric Fernando Torres, I found it odd that we loaned out Krisztián Németh to AEK Athens and now seeing him produce this bit of magic (see below) makes me believe he would be better off back at Anfield.

This weekend (Labor Day Weekend here in the May-Day-Hating United States) signals the end of the Summer. Â The other thing that always signals the end of Summer for me is the closing of the transfer window. Â It's done now, but not before we squeezed in two last signings. Â I meant to post this a few days ago, but better late than never:

FC Twente have captured Perparim Hetemaj from AEK Athens FC in a swap deal that takes Dutch midfielder Youssouf Hersi from the Netherlands to the Greek capital.
