Rumors of Ronaldinho landing in LA with the Galaxy have circled back around, and I'm wondering what
they mean. The unrealized reports of the summer, when Milan was dancing a contract samba with the
superstar, and the Galaxy were said to be in the contest for his services, gave a sense of
inevitability to the Brazilian coming Stateside.
Yes there was a big business story coming out of Zurich, but that ship has sailed, so we thought
it worth taking a look at the MLS stadium situation. The big news today came out of Houston,
where the Dynamo announced that they had reached a lease agreement with the County Sports
authority. The proposed stadium will be shared with Texas Southern Football and other local
events.
Doubtlessly swayed by my jeremiad earlier in the week, Landon Donovan decided to commit to the
Galaxy. I assume the privilege of playing before adoring fans such as myself was too great to toss
aside.
At least, that's how I choose to view his refusal of any loan offers for this winter. I suppose
it's possible that some Premiership team will just flat-out make AEG/MLS some sweet, sweet offer -
I mean, it's not like the English haven't scouted the guy by now.
